Extract Three You hear two friends discussing difficulties they’ve faced when travelling. 5 When describing something that happened to him, the man A states that a lack of information was to blame for the event. B recognises that he made an error of judgement. C insists he felt little sense of panic as a result. 6 When relating her own experience, the woman A is keen to stress it wasn’t as serious as the man’s. B suggests that she learnt a vital lesson from it. C reveals her pride in the skills that got her out of trouble.
