Come to Salalah! Salalah is a big city in Oman. It is next to the ocean and the mountains. About 200,000 people live in Salalah, but thousands of tourists visit every year. Salalah has beautiful white beaches and a lot of interesting places, for example, the Al Baleed Park, the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, and the Salalah Museum. It is famous for the Salalah Tourist Festival in July and August, where people eat food, listen to music, and buy products from Oman. The best time to visit is in the khareef season, from June to September. The weather is cool and wet. The mountains near Salalah are green and there are a lot of big, beautiful lakes, for example, at Wadi Darbat. A Read Khaled’s review of a shopping mall. Circle the things he writes about.
food
hotels
an ice rink
a movie theater
parks
an underwater zoo
This is one of the biggest shopping malls in the world. It has 1,300 stores, 200 places to eat, and spaces for 6,500 cars, so parking is never a problem! Some of the stores are expensive, but they have really nice things, and I love the restaurants – the food is great. There are a lot of other interesting things in the mall, like the underwater zoo. The water is beautiful and you can see a lot of interesting kinds of fish. The mall also has a movie theater with 26 screens, both 2D and 3D. Oh, and there’s a really big ice rink. It’s very nice on a hot day! Khaled the DUBAI mall Open times | What’s on | Getting here | Info
