Dallas Arts Month
April is Dallas Arts Month! Come celebrate the Arts this April! First launched by Mayor Mike Rawlings in 2013 as Dallas Arts Week, this holiday is an annual city-wide celebration of local art and artists. Events are offered in multiple Dallas neighborhoods, such as Deep Ellum, the Dallas Arts District and the Fair Park Cultural District. Artistic experiences range from interpretive dance to the tune of Frank Sinatra all the way to a “street takeover” of ballet dancers. If attending performances is not your style, Dallas offers many museums and facilities to visit such as the Dallas Arboretum, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Meadows Museum just to name a few. So take advantage of the opportunity to see the local art and artists that Dallas has to offer during this unique celebration!
