IMS Teeing Off at Charity Golf Day The IMS team recently entered into the Beechwood Charity Golf Day! Beechwood Cancer Care is a registered charity based in Stockport that IMS has worked with for the last 8 years. Since 1990 they have offered free support to those living with a life-limiting illness, and their loved ones. “We aim to provide an ongoing support network, helping people connect with others in similar situations.” Steven Brotherton & Alan McCarthy represented IMS and over £14,000 was raised on the day for a great cause!
Meet the Team...
Introducing our Systems & Data Project Manager “ Sue Henshaw-Welch I’m eager to help IMS use our extensive data to help our partners
Been at IMS since: March 2014 What does an average day at IMS look like for you?
There isn’t an average day as every day is busy and varied – which I love! My work is mainly project based but I also spend a lot of time assisting team members with ad hoc system queries, doing data importation, implementing new software and a range of other tasks, in order to continuously enhance our business operations. What do you love most about working for IMS? I love the variety that my job brings and I really enjoy being able to work alongside all of the department heads to improve the company’s processes. We’ve had substantial growth and it’s great that I am helping IMS on our digital transformation journey, which ultimately has a positive impact on multiple facilities within the medical sector enabling them to enhance their ordering process and spend more time doing what they do best - which is caring for patients (both human & animal!) worldwide. What are you most excited about in 2022? I’m looking forward to improving our processes and seeing the overall continuous improvement of the business. After changing systems a year ago I’m eager to help IMS use our extensive data to help our partners, guide business decisions and assist in our rapid growth plans. I'm also really excited about bringing home our gorgeous cocker spaniel puppy who will be officially joining our pack in November. Favourite pastime? One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is go walking with my dog, (you may have spotted Harley on our Linkedin page!) and family in the lake district.
At IMS, we’re thirsty for sustainability which is why all our employees have been gifted reusable, IMS branded water bottles. The environmental benefits of reusable water bottles include: • Less oil is used to manufacture reusable bottles compared to plastic bottles (over 17 million barrels of oil are used to create more than 50 million plastic water bottles per year) Cutting Down on Single Use Plastic One Bottle at a Time!
• Protects our marine life by reducing plastic pollution submerged below the ocean surface • Lowers the amount of plastic bottle waste in landfill, which takes hundreds of years to degrade As well as making a positive impact on the environment, switching to reusable bottles makes it easy to get your recommended dose of water a day, and reap the health benefits of staying hydrated.
