Living Our Purpose

THROUGH THICK AND THIN, WE SERVE PEOPLE WELL

T he new year provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on 2018. On personal and professional levels, we’ve had accomplishments and challeng- es over the past year. One challenge that has become very real across the U.S. in many professions — electricians, woodworkers, and even window and door services — is an extreme shortage of workers. At Kelly Window & Door, we’re rising to meet this challenge. Our purpose — “Serving People Well” — and our core values inform everything we do.“This year is the biggest year we’ve had,” Owner Mike Kelly says. “We’ve had a lot of great clients choosing us for their window and door projects.”With potential clients wanting our service, our company has tackled the worker shortage challenge with enthusiasm. “When I talk about getting everyone here to use our seven values and to follow our purpose of serving people well, I mean to use each of them as a meas- uring stick for everything we do,” Kelly states. In our office, all the questions asked and choices made are aligned with our seven values — Positive Attitude, In- tegrity, Teamwork, Consistency, Humble, Hungry, and Smart. “If someone is faced with a question, we set it next to each of our core values. If the answer aligns with them, roll with it. If not, do something different.” Because our staff puts so much effort into serving people well, it’s only natural that we thank them in the best way we can. “There are a lot of businesses
