Typical bandwidth on board varies between 1 and 3Mbps. This is shared among all users.

Streaming services, which are bandwidth intensive, are blocked on board, so that more passengers can enjoy a better connected experience.

Connectivity depends on many factors and cannot be guaranteed in all areas.

If you’re flying between Dubai and North America, you can expect an interruption of connectivity services over the polar region.

Mobile and data-roaming coverage are available on 777s. MOBILE AND DATA ROAMING

HOW TO OPTIMISE YOUR INFLIGHT WI-FI EXPERIENCE • Close inactive apps. • Disable app/software updates and cloud backups. • Enable low-data mode. • Pause Wi-Fi session before leaving device idle. • Disable any VPN.

Data-roaming charges can be very expensive. To avoid unwanted data- roaming charges, we recommend turning on Airplane Mode and using our inflight Wi-Fi instead.

Please note that for technological reasons, we are unable to provide Wi-Fi and mobile phone services on every flight or guarantee them as fault-free. Emirates’ liability is limited accordingly. If you would like to report a problem, please contact cs@sita.aero for OnAir, or passenger.care@viasat.com for Viasat.
