‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’
Nov. 28: Turkey Trot St. Helena Hospital Foundation is hosting a “turkey trot” at Crane Park, 360 S. Crane Ave. in St. Helena, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28. Before you eat until your heart’s content, take a stroll with the whole family, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., to help support the AHEAD program which identifies risk for hereditary cancer. Dec. 21: Free Holiday Film Event—’Fantastic Mr. Fox’ Fantastic Mr. Fox follows the story of a sly fox who wants more for himself and his family. Mr. Fox decides to concoct a master plan to steal from local farmers, but the farmers catch onto his heist and chaos ensues. On Dec. 21 head to the CIA at Copia, 500 First St. in Napa, at 3 p.m. to attend this free holiday screening. This Wes Anderson film is sure to be a fun watch for the whole family. Dec. 5: Christmas Tree Lighting and Meet Santa! On Dec. 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., head to Queen of the Valley Medical Center and bring the whole family to meet Santa! Both Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be in front of the hospital, 1000 Trancas St. in Napa, to greet all the good little boys and girls. As the sun sets, attendees will gaze in awe as Santa lights up the enormous Christmas tree. The event is free.
Nov. 30: Winter Wreath Workshop Commemorate the holiday season with a winter wreath workshop at Markham Vineyards, 2812 St. Helena Highway, N. in St. Helena. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. participants will follow the guidance of floral designer Chloe Vanessa and create beautiful holiday wreaths while indulging in delicious wines. Tickets are $75 per person or $60 for club members. The ticket price includes all materials as well as a glass of wine.
