Caregiver Coaching Training This course is designed to equip professional coaches with specialized tools to effectively support caregivers. Meet Our Instructors Although diagnosed with a rare chronic illness in 1999 and predicted a low chance of survival her personal and professional achievements until now are proof that there is always a choice – for the patient, the medical team and everyone surrounding them. Shiri’s vision is to facilitate change in the medical system through Medical Coaching and communicational skills, adherence, resilience and Medical leadership trainings. He is the principal and co-founder of RYP Global, LLC, offering resilience coaching for professionals. Brian’s background in psychology, mental health, healthcare, and business equips him to help others enhance well-being and professional impact.
JEAN M. LACOUR, PH.D.
Dr. Jean LaCour is founder and CEO of NET Institute Center for Addiction and Recovery Education. She has traveled to twenty four nations over the past twenty years and trained thousands of people like you who share a passion for relieving the suffering caused by addiction. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Jean is best known for her enthusiasm and energy in communicating an uplifting message of hope in overcoming the challenges of life with grace and courage.
WENDY MCLAUGHLIN, MS, MCHES, NBC-HWC Wendy McLaughlin joined the UWSP Health Coach Training Program (HCTP) in January 2024 as a Lab Instructor, mentoring students during live coaching demonstrations. In her growing role, she continues mentoring HCTP students and teaching health coaching courses. Before UWSP, she spent four years as a Mentor Coach Evaluator in a National Board-approved program, evaluating skill demonstrations, facilitating group sessions, and teaching continuing education courses. Wendy also works as a Wellbeing & Coaching Specialist at Columbia University. She holds a Master’s in Health Education and is an MCHES.
Shelly-Anne is a driven individual who once struggled with severe exhaustion and addiction due to a demanding career in media. Hospitalized in her 30s, she decided to change her life and committed to sobriety in 2006. Through therapy, support groups, and coaching, Shelly-Anne gained balance and overcame her toughest challenge—food addiction. Now, as a trauma-informed, board-certified coach, she specializes in helping successful women achieve food addiction recovery. TAMAR MEISEL Meisel coaches caregivers, guiding them on how to find support, communicate effectively with medical teams and loved ones, and acquire the tools needed to help both their loved ones and themselves. As an MCI Mentor and co-creator of the MCI Caregiver Coach Training Course, she brings over a decade of coaching experience, a background in Human Resources, and personal experiences as a parent, daughter, partner, and business owner. With empathy, compassion, and practical tools, Meisel effectively supports individuals facing illness and those who care for them.
Ellen is an Economist and Certified Workplace Wellness Consultant. Master’s degree in Health & Wellness Coaching, ICF PCC, NBHWC, Health and Mindful Eating Coach, holding multiple global leadership roles in the Wo rkplace Wellness Field. Ellen has dedicated the past 20+ years to walking her talk through workplace well-being, promoting a holistic approach to eating, physical activity, health, resilience, and self-care. At UWSP, she teaches health coaching, stress management program development, and health equity. Yvette holds an M.A. in Integrative Health and Wellness, is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), a registered yoga teacher (RYT 500), and a certified Reiki Shihan.
