Celebrating Valentine’s Day
It’s the season of love, and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! With all the heart-shaped candies, chocolates, and decorations filling both stores and homes, we want to share with you a few fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the whole family!
1. Bake something special! You can make homemade fudge, heart-shaped Rice Krispie treats, or chocolate-covered strawberries. Make it extra fun by listening to your favorite songs about love while you bake.
2. Make Valentine’s cards! You can use construction paper, markers, glitter, or anything to make the card special for the person you want to give it to. When writing the card, be sure to tell the person what you love most about them!
3. Perform acts of kindness! Pick one person and do something for them that lets them know you love and appreciate them. This could be helping with a chore, buying them a gift, or just spending time with them when they’re feeling lonely. Remember that love comes in many forms, so consider how that person will feel your love best. 4. Share your love story! Take time to write down or tell someone the story of your love. This could be about how you met and fell in love with your spouse, the care you have for your kids and grandkids, or a long-cherished friendship that has shown you real love.
