WASHINGTON PARK Take a break from the busy downtown Denver scene by taking a detour in Washington Park, aka "Wash Park.” This park has two lakes, two formal flower gardens, tree-lined paths and seemingly endless expanses of green grass. It's a fitness hotspot for locals, and you're likely to see people walking their dogs, running, biking, paddle boating or doing yoga. You don’t want to miss its lush landscaping, covered storefronts and family-friendly atmosphere.

UNION STATION Opened in 1881 as the Denver Union Depot — the tallest building in the West at the time — it was destroyed by a fire in 1894 and quickly rebuilt. By the early 20th century, demand for railway travel grew rapidly, and it was replaced with the structure you see today. There’s plenty to do there, from fast-casual eateries to upscale restaurants, a bookstore, a florist and a gift shop. LITTLE MAN ICE CREAM The Little Man Ice Cream Company has been scooping local flavors since 2008 when its first shop was opened in a 28-foot milk can in Denver’s burgeoning Lower Highland neighborhood. With roughly a dozen core flavors available year-round and rotating seasonal flavors, this is a popular hangout spot for locals and tourists alike.

Colorado is known for its outdoor activities and spectacular views, but that doesn’t mean you should pass up the chance to visit its largest city. Denver is home to many museums, galleries, restaurants, breweries and more. Even though you’ll have to drive an hour or two to reach the mountains for hiking and other outdoor activities, there’s still plenty to do in the Mile High City itself. If you’re in town to reconnect with your Alpha Phi sisters or check out the new Executive Office, add these spots to your itinerary!

SOUTH PEARL STREET FARMERS MARKET Easily the largest of the Denver farmers markets, the South Pearl Farmers Market is a must-visit for market lovers in the city. It’s typically open from May through November, rain or shine. Best of all, it’s dog-friendly, too!
