is being played in some of the higher social clubs. Husbands and wives gath er together for an evening of cocktails and dancing. Then before the gaiety of the evening is over the women, re moving their clothes, cover themselves in sheets from head to toe and lie down on the floor. Each man tries to pick out his wife, and the “loser” says LOOK Magazine’s report on the game, is sup posedly the one who has to take his own wife home. Adultery on every hand. Immorality! Today, however, it is not whispered about. It seems to be something of a personal triumph. It is written up in glowing terms in screen magazines, and is exploited in the “best sellers” which are often made into Academy Award Winning motion pictures. Jesus said that the thought of lust is the same as adultery, the very act. What is the Christian’s outlook on this? Does he refrain because he fears social, physical or financial repercus sions? If so, he is a most miserable man. The only answer is not in refraining because of laws, both civil and social, but because of love; the love which Christ alone can bring into your life and from it springs victory. How heavy my heart becomes when I hear of fel low ministers of the Gospel who have fallen. As Paul stated, “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” Let us never come to the point when we think we are smarter than Satan and are on to all of his tricks for ensnaring you and bringing you to frustration. Thanks be unto God, vic tory for us lies in His love which tran scends the law. As far as the subject of adultery is concerned, we only spend more time on that since sex has be come the No. I American pre-occupa tion. If our blest country doesn’t have a God-given bath from the filth, im morality, and depths of evil to which we have gone, what will happen???
