Walking Tour: The Frick Collection The Frick Collection is back! Get closer to more masterpieces than ever before in their newly renovated home. The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919), who bequeathed his home, paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts to the public for their enjoyment. The institution’s holdings, which encompass masterworks from the Renaissance through the nineteenth century, have grown over the decades, more than doubling in size since the opening of the museum in 1935.

Walking Tour: Jack Whitten: The Messenger at MoMA Jack Whitten: The Messenger at the Museum of Modern Art (running March 23, 2025 to August 2, 2025) is the first comprehensive retrospective dedicated to Whitten's innovative art over his nearly six-decade career. The exhibition includes more than 175 works from the 1960s to the 2010s, including paintings, rarely shown works on paper, and archival materials. Creating with new materials and tools, from new paints to Afro-combs and electrostatic printing, Whitten defied traditional boundaries between abstraction and representation in his activist works, many of which pay tribute to other artists, musicians, and leaders.
