Watercolor Painting Explore a fascinating medium in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! Learn a range of techniques including basic, variegated, and graded washes. Develop a unique vision as you learn about or strengthen your understanding of color, composition, and building value through successive washes. Through demonstrations and examples from masters, students will paint using photographs as reference. Individualized instruction benefits students of all levels. See website for materials list. ANNE JOHANN is a professional artist whose paintings have won many awards. She has extensive teaching and lecturing experience. Watercolor Painting Explore the medium of watercolor and take your paintings from ordinary to extraordinary. Various techniques and exercises in color, composition, drawing and value will help you develop your own personal style of painting. Critiques and class discussion are an important part of this class. Work from photos, still life and references. This class is intended for students who have some experience with the medium. She is an award-winning artist whose experience includes working with watercolor, mixed media, illustration, and writing various articles about art education. Friedland is the organizer and director of the Westchester Artists Guild. During the year, her work appears in many local juried art exhibitions and is represented in private collections and galleries.

Watercolor Intensive Focus on improving technique, composition, color mixing, and the understanding of light logic. Paint subjects provided by the instructor with student input. This course is designed for the more experienced painter. BONNELL MARIE (BONNIE) COTNOIR has been teaching watercolor painting throughout Westchester for several years. Her degree in botanical illustration from New York Botanical Gardens combined with her early work in film animation gives her art a fresh and unique perspective.
