Drawing and Acrylic Painting Develop your artistic skills by using an easy, structured approach to drawing and painting. Through observation, create depth, understand positive and negative shapes, and learn proportion by painting from still life and reference photos. This course is open to all levels from beginner to those who want to improve their painting skills in a fun, supportive atmosphere. See website for materials list.

AMANDA WILSON holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an MAT in Art Education from Manhattanville College. Her illustrations have appeared in Adweek, the Atlantic Monthly, New York Magazine, the New Yorker, and on numerous book jackets. Wilson has exhibited at the Edward Hopper House Museum and Study Center, American Institute of Graphic Arts,Society of Illustrators, and the Society of Publication Designers. Discover the beauty of everyday objects through the expressive power of still life in this open format art class. Work with pastels, gouache, acrylics, charcoal, or mixed media — whatever inspires you most. Each session will feature curated still life arrangements designed to challenge your observation skills and spark your creativity. With guided instruction and individualized feedback, develop your technical abilities while exploring composition, color, and form in your chosen medium. Class is suitable for beginners, experienced artists, or anyone looking to reconnect with their creative practice in a supportive and engaging environment. Bring your own materials and your artistic curiosity — class will provide the inspiration. Summer Style: Create a Beach Hat and Tote Unleash your creativity by customizing summer-ready fashion accessories: a wide-brimmed beach hat and beautiful beach tote. Using an array of mixed media embellishments, learn design principles, explore texture and color combinations, and take home two fully personalized pieces for August beach getaways. All materials will be provided. SARA JOY ANNAPOLEN is a Westchester-based artist with a background in surface pattern and fashion design. After sunsetting her namesake clothing line and a successful career in fashion, Annapolen now devotes herself full time to art through playful murals and whimsical paintings. 4 Sessions, starting Tuesday, July 8 • 10:00am-12:00pm • Shaarei Tikvah • Course 13402 • $195 Spray Painting and Graffiti Art Explore the dynamic world of graffiti-inspired techniques to create a unique spray painted piece. Express your creativity on canvas through freehand spray painting and stencil work, as well as layering mixed media using acrylics if desired. Emphasis will be on color theory, composition, and emotional expression. Beginners are welcome. All materials will be provided.
