Designed specifically for college students, particularly freshmen and sophomores, this workshop will cover developing a polished, ready-to-use resume that reflects your strengths and experiences, and building an active, professional profile on LinkedIn. Use AI and ChatGPT to create a roadmap for future internships, interviews, and competitive programs. Learn how to set up, manage, and promote your own e-commerce website using today’s most popular platforms (Shopify, Wix, Etsy, Square, etc.). Choose the right platform to suit your needs and understand how to list products and write descriptions that sell. Gain tips on creating a professional brand and storefront design, setting up and launching your online payment processing, configuring shipping options, and using basic marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales. Whether to declutter or to develop a profitable side hustle, learn how to successfully sell personal items online, new or used, clothes/toys or rare collectibles, through platforms like eBay, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, and others. Gain an understanding of which platforms are best suited for different items (clothing, electronics, antiques, etc.) and how to write compelling listings and take great photos for marketing. Understand pricing strategies to maximize profit and attract buyers, and the tips for handling shipping, returns, and buyer communication to stay safe and avoid scams.
