Intermediate Spanish This course is for students who have an understanding of the past, present and future tenses. Focus will be on the subjunctive and compound sentences. Students will continue to develop their Spanish language skills through conversation and listening. Using a thematic approach, learn new vocabulary and sentence structure. Emphasis will be on developing students’ written and verbal abilities. Intermediate Conversational Spanish This class is appropriate for students who have an understanding of the past, present and future tenses and are ready to move beyond the intermediate level. Focus will be on conversation with grammar corrections. Students will continue to develop their Spanish language skills through conversation and listening. Using a thematic approach, learn new vocabulary and sentence structure. Emphasis will be on developing students’ written and verbal abilities. Besides speaking, improve listening skills as well as vocabulary and grammar with highlights that will be based on the class conversation as well as conversations between native speakers. Some differentiation is available, but participants should be comfortable with speaking and expressing themselves in Spanish. Advanced Conversational Spanish Practice your Spanish in an informal gathering. Each week’s conversation will center on a new topic, such as current events, magazine articles, colloquial expressions and other areas of interest to the group. Expand your vocabulary as you develop fluency in the language. This is an advanced speaking class.
