Fit Blast: Cardio, Strength, and Abs Blast away soft spots with high intensity cardio bursts! Sculpt a leaner, stronger body with resistance exercises using hand-held weights, bands and your own body weight. This total body conditioning class is fun, easy-to-follow and effective. Enjoy more energy, stamina and looser clothes! ALL levels welcome. Students should bring 3 to 10 lb. weights, mat, towel and water. JEANNINE PALERMO is a certified personal trainer, a certified FitWalk instructor, and a fitness instructor who teaches adult and children's fitness classes throughout Westchester County.
Total Body Workout with Bands Work all muscle groups using various types of resistance bands and body weight. Easier on the joints than other similar exercises, band resistance helps students to focus on strength training and stretching. This class complements weight bearing classes. Students should bring a mat and water. Bands may be purchased online; instructor will provide details on request. Body Sculpting For the major muscle groups, these free-weight exercises will increase muscular strength and endurance and will improve flexibility, range of motion, and body tone. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome. Students should bring an exercise mat and weights of 1 to 5 pounds. This stimulating yet restorative class will help build strength and endurance and improve flexibility. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. The class, which is chair-based, but includes standing exercises, is perfect for the active older adult who has difficulty with floor exercises. Students with mild and severe arthritis find the class invaluable for both the seated and standing exercises. Participants will work on lower and upper body strength and conditioning, mostly while in a seated position. Students should bring 1 to 5 lb. weights (optional) and water. Yoga straps or bands are used to assist in stretching and are available for purchase at first class.
