The Power of Testimonials

This month, Dellutri Law Group is proud to announce the unveiling of a new online testimonial section on our website! We’ve been hard at work perfecting this portion of our website; and now, with our new features, our clients have the ability to verify the testimonials. You may ask why we’re doing this.

Testimonials help lend credibility to our services, and they are a great tool for those who are contemplating hiring our firm. Unfortunately, there is usually no way for people to verify those testimonials. Many businesses fake testimonials, and we believe this confuses consumers. Likewise, the Florida Bar does not make attorneys verify testimonials, and we believe this also confuses consumers. That is why we chose to take this issue into our own hands. We want our clients to know that we provide honest service, and that begins with the credibility of the testimonials on our

upset because his case required legal services outside of our area of practice. Fortunately, we knew an attorney who would be the perfect fit in Port Charlotte. We not only made the referral, we called the other attorney and made arrangements for the meeting to take place. Unfortunately, after going above and beyond, the gentleman thought the consultation could have been completed over the phone. In delicate legal situations, where documents need to be reviewed by an attorney, phone consultations are not as effective as in-person meetings. After the meeting, the gentleman left the review on our Google page.

website. If you want to verify any of the testimonials on our site, please visit dellutrilawgroup.com/florida-bankruptcy-attorney- testimonials-dellutri-law-group. Regrettably, bad reviews are a part of business, but sometimes they are completely unwarranted. Recently, you may have noticed a bad Google review when searching for our firm. A gentleman gave us 2 out of 5 stars and left the following review:

Dellutri Law Group is not a jack-of-all-trades firm. We specialize in certain areas of law, and we know there are other firms that are better equipped to handle certain types of cases. We accommodated this man’s need for an immediate consultation, we rearranged schedules, we reviewed his case and documents, we found him an attorney who could help, and we didn’t charge him a dime. Unfortunately, all he could see was that we wasted his time because he had to drive to Fort Myers for this service. We believe everyone has the right to quality counsel, so we gave him a referral. Sometimes you can’t please everyone. We go the extra mile for our clients — current or potential — and although that gentleman thinks we wasted his time, we believe that we made the most of it. So, I ask you: Do you think we deserved 2 out of 5 stars? If you would like to leave your own review to offset the 2 stars, please visit, dellutrilawgroup.com/leave-us-a-review. We would greatly appreciate it.

“Was not helpful drove from port charlotte just to be referred to another law firm … could have done that over the phone.”

I was surprised by the review, since Dellutri Law Group receives consistent 5-star reviews, so I investigated. As it turns out, this gentleman had requested an immediate, free consultation at our Port Charlotte office for what he said was a delicate legal matter. We were unable to accommodate him at that office so quickly, so we offered a complimentary consultation at our Fort Myers office with one of our attorneys. We specifically

Florida’s Move Over Law Applies to All Safety Vehicles

Florida law enforcement and safety officials recently issued an important reminder about the importance of the state’s “move over” law. It requires drivers to move over when a patrol car, emergency vehicle, or tow truck is stopped on the side of a road with lights flashing. If they cannot move over safely, drivers must slow to a speed 20 mph below the posted speed limit. The law is intended to protect professionals who come to the aid of disabled drivers. “You’re literally standing a couple feet from people doing 60–70 mph; you don’t have many options,” Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. Officials specifically expressed concern that many Florida drivers don’t know that they must also move over when they observe flashing orange lights. Several Road Rangers and tow operators have been seriously hurt or even killed when drivers failed to obey the law. “That’s why it’s important for people to pay attention to the move over laws,” Sgt. Wysocky noted. Drivers are reminded that in addition to putting your safety at risk, failing to yield or move over can result in a fine of up to $160 and demerits on your driver’s license record. In 2012 alone, FHP issued 8,273 citations, according to the Sun Sentinel.

“Dellutri Law Firm is simply the best. The lawyers and staff all have a level of integrity and professionalism I have never experienced before. They will make you feel positive about a less than desirable time in your life. When my husband was laid off, we lost our home, were buried in debt, and to add insult to injury, the first lawyer we went to made us feel like lowlifes. It was just awful. But after hearing Mr. Dellutri on a local radio channel, I gathered up the nerve to call in and ask him a few things, especially concerning the things the previous lawyer told us. He simply said, ‘Give me a chance. I know I can help.’ And he did. I can’t say enough about this firm. They were there for us in the beginning and have been there ever since. They won’t forget you. They will answer your calls and emails. I promise you, this firm is the best.” –B.R.

Business Spotlight Valerie’s House is a loving place where grieving children learn that loss doesn’t have to limit their dreams. At Valerie’s House, children and families connect with one another to heal after experiencing the death of a loved one. VALERIE’S HOUSE: WHERE CHILDREN CAN HEAL

It’s a community of individuals who come together to help each other grieve, creating supportive bonds in the process that they can take into their futures. Children meet at Valerie’s House in groups, depending on their age, for free playtime and a potluck meal. The children are encouraged to express themselves through art and music, and younger children often express their grief through “play therapy.” While the

Iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloons

ICONIC MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE BALLOONS

Snoopy When it comes to balloon characters, none is more famous than the classic “Peanuts” beagle. His first balloon floated through the sky in 1968, and he’s been a regular fixture ever since. Charles Schultz’s famous pooch holds the record for most variations in a parade (eight) and most total appearances (40). Though Snoopy doesn’t come out every year, he usually closes the show when he does. Pikachu The Pokémon mascot didn’t appear until 2001, but he’s become a star attraction, showing up every year since. Bright, expressive, and impossible to miss, Pikachu checks off all the boxes for a successful balloon character. For 16 years, those who predicted that Pokémon was just a fad have gotten a big, yellow reminder of just how wrong they were.

Thanksgiving is a holiday full of traditions, from turkey and stuffing to football and naps. Since 1924, the Macy’s Parade has grown to become not only a Thanksgiving staple but also the world’s largest parade. Over 3.5 million people attended the parade last year, with another 20 million tuning in from home. The main attraction is always the massive character balloons, which first graced the skies in 1927. Over the decades, some of these balloons have become nearly as famous as the character they depict. Felix the Cat When the Felix the Cat balloon appeared in 1931, it set the standard for all characters to follow. Sadly, the original balloon got tangled in wires and caught on fire, so it has been lost to history. Felix’s influence on the parade is so immense, however, that when Macy’s brought him back in 2016 for the parade’s 90th anniversary, they recreated his original design. Without Felix’s influence, the parade might look a lot different today.
