Skills for Work & Study Unit Standards
LEVEL2
Introduction
This course involves working alongside local industries keen to establish a work-ready qualification unique to Kawerau. The course will be part of the Gateway programme, where work placements are a compulsory part of the course. These will ideally be on the day of this academy, where students will attend a work placement in at least two industries at various times of the year over the two-year course. Students will be supported in the classroom to develop foundation skills employees have identified as necessary for the workplace. The aim is for this to be a two-year programme that
prepares the student for the local workforce. * indicate standards that require a placement.
