Introduction
This course is designed to provide young mama with the knowledge and skills to parent their pepe safely. In addition, this is a level 2 NCEA course for students interested in a possible career or interest in early childhood education (ECE) and care.

Students will gain the skills and knowledge for competent and safe parenting. In addition, this qualification contributes to the Social and Communities Vocational Pathway. Students may undertake further study towards the following: - New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) - New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5) or proceed to commence a level 7 initial teacher education (ECE) qualification under specified criteria.
