KW Cares responded to nine different disasters in 2023, the largest being the Maui Wildfires. In addition, KW Cares continued to provide grants and assistance for KW Family members whose lives and homes were impacted by the effects of 2022’s Hurricane Ian. Also, for the first time, KW Cares was able to send a staff member to the National Hurricane Conference, held in New Orleans in 2023, to expand our knowledge of disaster response. We’re committed to attending every year so we can learn more about hurricane preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation in order to better serve our KW Family.
