UTAH

First calf heifer with Red Doc sired calf

We are in northeastern Utah, on the Colorado border. In 2020, we started using Santa Gertrudis bulls. We were looking for a breed that would preform better in the hot, rugged, brushy and insect ridden river bottom, as well as, have the durability to travel and get out and hustle on the range. As a result of switching to Santa Gertrudis bulls, our calves weaning weight is heavier, the cross cows are great mothers. Adam and Joslyn Percival Roosevelt, Utah, 5200 ft. elev.

Red Doc bulls continue to impress watching the females they produce. Their hardiness, phenotype, and fertility have produced the type of cow that will thrive in our country, from the desert to the top of the mountain, they do it.
