Why would anyone need “terminal”, high $B Angus bulls unless both sexes are being fed out to harvest. Angus to us are maternal, make the kind of cows that last for many years. Crippled up, open cows at 4 years of age don’t make anybody any money. Once those kind of genetics get in a cow herd it will take 3-4 generations to get them ABOUT gone, they are NEVER gone!!! EPD chases gone bad???

If producers never keep heifers use all the power or other breeds to get extra pounds. Some Angus are pretty TERMINAL in our opinion. Balanced EPDs in the most traits possible can be a pretty good fit for most long term producers. Never forget FERTILITY is #1.

A picture that is worth a thousand words. Gentlemen who have been in the Charolais industry a long time and we have became close friends with. This past fall we were humbled and shocked that Bill Nottke made it to our sale. However, we didn’t know that would be the last time we saw him as he passed a couple week after our sale. Bill was a great friend that believed in our program and had purchased a few of our high selling cows the past few years. Megan was able to capture this photo and we are glad she did. Thank you to Mike Schumacher for bringing Bill out here and to Dennis Adams and Rick Evans for their continued support as well. 4 great minds in this photo!
