If producers want bulls with some extreme EPDs, that look like Waygu as mature cows (no guts - no width) just to get more choice and prime - you won’t like Fink bulls. Cows with good udders, teats, longevity and fertility make folks happy at preg check time and at calving. Cows that last for many years instead of shipping young cows that are open or crippled doesn’t work.

Embarassing - but I failed to get DNA on this dam several years ago as it wasn’t required then. New rules for registering calves were put in place, we lost the dam of these two bulls due to a broken leg. Not registered but absolutely the pedigree is correct. Pretty balanced EPDs for many traits, the kind that keep produc- ers in business.

The dam is a moderate, deep, thick female backed up by a grandam that was nearly perfect in “kind” and production. Building cowherds is much different than calf production, cowherds are the foundation. They need planning, thought, execution, all with a plan. Heifer bulls with some power also.
