Again high heifer pregnancy, functional longevity, large scrotal, low mature cow weight in their daughters. We have bred Angus (and have for 40+ years) for maternal cowmakers. In todays industry, producers need cowherds that last, cowherds that make profit also, if the genetics on the cows side can SAVE a producer $200/hd that adds up in the final paycheck !! Another Galen mess up. No DNA on the cow so these bulls are 1/2 sire and 1/2 dam EPDs. They are not registered or DNA tested .

The EPDs will all be the same as they are 1/2 sire and 1/2 the dam. Galen failed to get DNA on the dam when we were flushing her and then we lost her. Donors have to be DNA tested before progeny can be registered. These bulls are unregistered, but they are what the pedigree says. The dam is a Rainmaker 4404 daughter that did a nice job. Note the foundation traits on this set. DNA could not be run on them because they can’t be registered. Five Tehama Testament sons averaged $14,400 last fall, they couldn’t be registered either, but they were pretty good and so is this set that’s out of the same cow..

This bull is double bred to Substantial. All cowmakers again only three of these in the sale. Very nice set!
Remember when $B was the trait to solve all headaches in Angus. Now it’s referred to as “terminal”. Glad we didn’t chase $B!!
