Provenance: -Collection Jonkheer Barthold Willem Floris van Riemsdijk (1850-1942), Amsterdam. Jonkheer Barthold Willem Floris van Riemsdijk was manager of the Prinsenhof in Delft from 1888-1929. At the same time he was director of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam from 1897-1922.

Provenance: -Collection Jhr Mr W.M. de Brauw, Middelburg, by 1905, thence by descent to the former owner. -Auction, Sotheby’s, Amsterdam, 18 May 2010, lot 69, where acquired by the present owner. Isabella de Savornin, daughter of Maurits de Savornin, commander of Bergen op Zoom, married Cornelis de Brauw (1664–1728) in 1685. Cornelis served as bailiff and supreme dijkgraaf of the towns of Dreischor, Zonnemaire, and Noordgouwe in the province of Zeeland.
