Galerie G.I.N: this name is an abbrevation of the names of the partners Gordon, Ivo and Nico (Heijbroek/van Griensven 2007, p. 211). The gallery was founded by Nico Delaive, who was the driving force behind the gallery. They specialized in different aspects of Dutch realistic painting (Gubbels 1999, p. 84). In 1986 he started his own gallery under the name Gallery Delaive at Spiegelgracht, Amsterdam.
