The Sky Ride was one of the most spectacular attractions of the exposition in Chicago (1933–1934). Designed as a modern aerial tramway, it carried visitors high above the fairgrounds in suspended rocket-shaped cars, offering panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline. Stretching circa 600 meters between two towering steel structures, it symbolized technological innovation and quickly became an icon of the fair.
