The sitter’s son was Jacob Corneliszoon Banjaert (1564-1638), called Van Neck, he became mayor of Amsterdam. A portrait dated 1605 by Cornelis Ketel (1548-1616) of this Jacob Cornelisz. van Neck is in the collection of Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, inv. no. SK-A-3121.
