The Alpha Phi house at Arizona State University has undergone a major renovation resulting in a brand-new, totally updated, stylish live-in facility for members of the Gamma Pi chapter. The Greek community has played a key role on Arizona State’s campus for more than 85 years. The Gamma Pi chapter has excelled at member experience and embodies the High Ideals of Alpha Phi membership – sisterhood, innovation, generosity and character. And now, they have a chapter house fitting to reflect the success of their chapter. In 2018, the Gamma Pi house joined the other Greek organizations on ASU’s campus in the Greek village on campus, meaning that they are all similar in terms of exterior design, interior layout, etc. But just last year in 2023, the house underwent a massive renovation that included a completely redone first floor, a fully decorated and covered second floor balcony, a dedicated executive office space, communal bathrooms and laundry rooms on each sleeping floor, updated interior design and more. The 11,000-plus-square-foot chapter house is managed by 1872 Properties, the Fraternity's affiliate organization that supports its collegiate chapters by enhancing the Alpha Phi experience through ensuring the existence of safe, competitive and well-managed chapter facilities. 1872 Properties owns or manages more than 40 chapter facilities across the United States and Canada, including 25 residential houses. There are also three outdoor areas onsite at the Gamma Pi chapter house — a covered front porch, a back porch and a covered and decorated second floor balcony. (The shade comes in handy in Arizona!)
