Chapters Across the Country Host Annual Red Dress Galas With the end of another year comes the highly anticipated philanthropy and sisterhood event hosted by so many of our collegiate chapters across the country – the Red Dress Gala! This is one of the Fraternity’s largest philanthropic events that is hosted on an annual basis. It serves as a signature fundraising event for many of our chapters, as all proceeds from the gala benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation and its philanthropic efforts. "The success of this Red Dress Gala for our chapter is thanks to the collaborative effort of all the girls in our chapter,” expressed Briana Almond, the director of formal recruitment at Eta Omega-Towson. “Leading up to the Gala, we had our Heart Week filled with fun activities to raise money [that] included a bake sale, Pie-a-Phi, Mac and Phis and one of my favorites – our Mr. Heartthrob contest. These events generated excitement among our members and created a sense of unity within the chapter.” Additionally, Briana said that members put together beautiful baskets and secured donations that parents could bid on during the gala. “What made this Red Dress Gala even more special was the support we received from our members' friends and families who joined us during the event,” Briana said. “It was heartwarming to see our hard work pay off and to have the opportunity to showcase to our parents a glimpse of the meaningful activities and initiatives that define our chapter.”
