Gamma Kappa-CSU Long Beach CSU Long Beach Camps Out for Fall Retreat The ladies of Gamma Kappa-CSU Long Beach recently spent their annual fall retreat in Agua Dulce, California, for a one day and one night Camp Alpha Phi sisterhood event. “We hold an overnight fall retreat every year, and it’s something all of our girls look forward to,” said Abigail Clark, the chapter’s current director of philanthropy. “Our director of sisterhood plans the whole retreat, including a lot of fun sisterhood activities to get to know each other better. My favorites this year were putting patches on makeup bags, releasing butterflies and making s’mores using the giant fire pit that was included with the house. The retreat pushes our girls to make new friendships and get to know the chapter better as a whole.”

Over 100 members attended this year’s camping-inspired retreat.

Moving forward, Abigail said she is excited for Gamma Kappa to put on Mr. Heartthrob, which is one of its largest philanthropy events and her personal favorite.

“Everyone [always] has such a good time attending this event and raising money for the Alpha Phi Foundation,” Abigail expressed.

Congratulations on a successful retreat, Gamma Kappa! We can’t wait to see what else you accomplish this year.
