Q. Raffaele, what motivated you to found the company and create Judy? A. For years, cybersecurity solutions available to small and midsize businesses (SMBs) were either watered-down enterprise solutions or expensive, complicated tools that exceeded their security needs. This left many organizations unprotected and unable to meet strict security requirements from enterprise clients and stakeholders. Worse yet, everyone in the industry comes with a checklist, books or frameworks that an SMB should implement when we all know they will never be able to hire the staff to support it. This is compounded by the fact that even the enterprise can’t stitch 7-10 point products together and get them to work without a big staff. The world has changed, and now SMBs sit at the center of compliance as it relates to their customers. With this in mind, we developed an all-in-one solution specifically designed for the SMB. Judy Security (formerly AaDya Security) was launched in 2019 and provided managed security services to 13 companies with a wide range of challenges. From there, we developed and launched Judy, an AI and machine learning agent delivering DNS filtering, secure authentication, password management and endpoint detection and response. Q. What makes Judy different from other solutions? A. She’s an AI platform providing users with enterprise-grade security without the need for multiple point products. The underlying goal of the AI capabilities brings these together to provide security that is efficient, smart and accessible to those who could be intimidated by traditional cybersecurity solutions. So with the initial setup and configuration your customers can count on Judy Security to help solve many problems that plague SMBs. Q. Raffaele, how does partnering with Judy Security help prospective partners and their customers? A. Offering service providers, value-added resellers, IT consultants, MSPs, and MSSPs — many of which are small businesses themselves — an easy-to-deploy and managed solution. The company’s mission is to bring tangible value to an underserved sector and those who support it. Many customers are turning to MSPs/MSSPs for their IT needs (printers, WIFI, laptops, etc.) regardless of what the industry thinks: cybersecurity is IT. We wanted to create a program that didn’t follow the same ones out there today. By partnering with Judy Security, partners gain a healthy new revenue stream and alleviate the burden on their teams while ensuring customer protection and satisfaction.
