9. HIGH VOLTAGE T-CONNECTOR INSTALLATION
9.1 Aims and objectives of the High Voltage T-Connector Installation Module The aim of this module is to prepare technicians to safely and correctly perform inspection, cleaning, preparation, and connection or disconnection of HV separable connectors when working with pre-terminated HV cable, by correctly applying work instructions and procedures for different manufacturers products. The training will familiarise participants with a range of common separable HV connector types and components used in the wind industry, and provide practical experience fitting different T-Connectors, surge arrestors and components. The training supports quality working practices for plug and play HV cable connections, while promoting safety and reducing the need for product specific training.
This course is intended to cover a range of typical HV separable connectors common to the wind industry and is not designed for any specific HV cable component manufacturer products.
After successfully completing this module participants will be ready to progress to gain workplace experience with plug and play HV T-Connectors and prepared for product specific training where required.
9.2 Duration of the High Voltage T-Connector Installation Module
