3. Equipment List for High Voltage T-Connector Installation
Facilities and equipment for practical exercises • The HV connectors and components used for the practical training must be rated to 72,5 KV, and be compatible with EPR cable and 66 KV bushing Type-F. • It is required to conduct the practical training exercises using at least two different HV cable separable connector products from different manufacturers. The two T-Connector products used in this training should have distinct differences to ensure that a suitable variety of tools, techniques, work instructions and good practices are applied during the training.
The resources table below provides suitable example products from NKT and Nexans as illustrative information.
Note
Training providers may choose equivalent products from other manufacturers. Typical manufacturers of suitable HV separable connectors used in the wind industry include NKT, Nexans, Prysmian, Pfisterer, TE Raychem, 3M and others.
Resources required to support the learning activity include:

2 Cable compartments suitable for the mounting of two different cable connector systems including HV cable clamps / cleats 2 EPR cables with a 3-core breakout, prepared with suitable cable terminations ready for the fitting of two different compatible T-connector systems This requires that cables are prepared for the fitting and mounting of the two different T-connector products from different manufacturers eg. Nexans and NKT .
