THE AI ADVANTAGE

The Shift Is Here INTRODUCTION

We are living through one of the most profound shifts in human history.

A new game has begun, yet most people are still playing by the old rules.

That’s why this book exists. Not to overwhelm you with jargon or theory, but to give you a clear, proven playbook for thriving in the new era of exponential technology. Every generation has had its breakthroughs, and every time, those who leaned in early built new industries, new fortunes, and new futures. The ones who waited wished they hadn’t. AI is the next great breakthrough on that timeline, but the window for learning how to use it to your advantage is smaller than most people realize. Once you gain fluency, you’ll understand that AI will not serve to replace you, it will serve to amplify you in ways that accelerate success and empower more freedom. Used well, AI doesn’t put an end to the work humans do, it simply multiplies what makes us most valuable: our creativity, our empathy, our judgment, our vision. It gives us back our most precious resource - time - and the leverage to use that time where it matters most. This book is not focused on technology for the sake of technology. It’s built around a simple equation that runs through every chapter:

More Time + More Leverage = Accelerated Success.

Whether that success means scaling your business, launching the one you’ve been dreaming about, or simply being present for dinner with your family without your phone buzzing in your pocket, this book gives you the system to make it real.

THE AI ADVANTAGE

Between the two of us, we’ve spent a combined lifetime helping people turn complexity into clarity. Tony’s been in the game for almost fifty years. He’s coached presidents, billion-dollar CEOs, and world-class athletes, but what’s most remarkable is that he’s also helped millions of everyday people break through the invisible walls holding them back. He’s built and invested in over a hundred companies, written multiple number-one bestsellers, and provided more than a billion meals to families in need. When it comes to understanding what makes people perform at their highest level, then turning that understanding into a system anyone can follow, nobody alive has a longer track record. Dean has spent over thirty years building businesses from scratch. More than fifteen companies and billions in revenue, and not a single one started with a trust fund or a fancy degree. He grew up broke in a small town in upstate New York, and everything he built came from studying the best, learning by doing, and refusing to quit. A multiple New York Times bestselling author, Dean has dedicated his career to one thing: meeting people exactly where they are and showing them the path forward. Strip away the complexity and hand them a step-by-step system that actually works. That’s what drives him. Together, that’s eighty years of finding what works and making it accessible to anyone willing to put in the effort. But when we set out to bring AI to the people who needed it most, we knew we needed another piece of the puzzle. The philosophy, the mindset, and the business strategy – that’s our foundation, and it always will be. But we also needed someone who could take the most complex AI concepts and make them simple, practical, and impossible to fail at. Someone who could sit across from a person who says, “I’m not technical,” and have them building with AI before the session is over. After interviewing more than fifty of the world’s top AI minds – entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, and innovators – we found that person in Igor Pogany. Igor grew up in six different countries, speaking three languages, always figuring out new schools, cultures, and ways of thinking. When his family moved from Slovakia to Austria, his Slovakian greeting of “ahoj,” which means hello, was met with laughter. In German, it meant something different. Same word, same intention, wrong system. His talent for teaching AI came from years of observing unfamiliar systems, stripping away the noise, and figuring out how they work. His gift is why we didn’t just invite Igor to teach. We made him our partner and our Head of AI Education. His rare gift for making the complicated feel effortless is woven into every chapter of this book and into the system you’re about to learn.

THE AI ADVANTAGE

That combination of Tony’s decades of understanding what drives human performance, Dean’s thirty years of turning business strategy into step-by-step systems, and Igor on the front lines making sure the AI education actually sticks, is what makes this book different from anything else out there.

From those fifty-plus interviews, combined with Igor’s expertise, we distilled everything into a simple, actionable framework that isn’t based on trends or hacks. We have created a system built on timeless principles of success, accelerated by the most powerful tool any of us have ever had access to. This book is practical by design. Each chapter combines real stories, expert insights, and clear next steps you can implement immediately. You’ll hear from founders, creators, and everyday people who are using AI to reclaim their time, deepen their impact, and scale what matters without losing their humanity along the way. Our commitment to you is simple: by the end of this book, you’ll have a system – not a collection of tricks – for buying back your time, multiplying your leverage, and building the life and business you actually want. You’ll know how to build an AI partner that knows your goals, your voice, and your values. One that works alongside you around the clock to help you move faster, think clearer, and focus on what actually matters. And you’ll walk away knowing you don’t need to be technical, you don’t need to chase every new tool, and you don’t need to figure this out alone. The game has changed. The tools have evolved. The only question left is whether you’ll move forward with fear or with intention.

This is your playbook. Let’s begin.

Throughout this book, you’ll hear from both of us: Dean and Tony, with Igor’s AI wisdom as the backbone of what we’re sharing. Rather than switching between voices, we’ve written this as one unified conversation, the way we’d talk to you if we were all sitting across the table together. As longtime business partners and close friends, our beliefs and communication style already align. So does our mission: to make sure you don’t just survive the AI revolution, but. use it to your advantage so you can thrive in your business and your life.

THE AI ADVANTAGE

PART ONE

THE FOUNDATION

You’re Not Behind. You’re Right on Time CHAPTER 1

If you picked up this book because you feel behind on AI, because it seems like everyone around you is already using it daily, already ahead, already fluent in a language you haven’t learned yet, I want you to hear this and actually let it land: You’re not behind. You’re right on time. And you’re in the right place, but there isn’t a moment to spare. I know that might be hard to believe right now. Maybe you’ve watched a few YouTube videos and felt more confused afterward than before. Maybe someone on your team or in your family keeps talking about AI like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, and you’re sitting there thinking, There’s another level here. I’m just not seeing it . Maybe you’re using ChatGPT to answer questions, proofread, or search, as if it were just a fancy Google, and thinking, Okay, that was cool. But now what? How does this actually change my life? Or maybe, and this is the one I hear most often, you’ve been meaning to go deeper, but you just don’t have the time. Life is pulling you in forty directions. You’ve got a business to run, a career to protect, a family that needs you, or all three at once. And every time you sit down to figure this AI thing out, some new tool drops, some new headline screams that everything’s changed again, and you feel further behind than when you started. I get it. We’ve all been there. And if that’s where you are right now, you’re not alone. But that’s all about to change. In November of 2025, we hosted our first annual live virtual event: the AI Advantage Summit. We expected a big turnout. What we got was something none of us were prepared for. 638,357 people registered from more than a hundred countries. Stay-at-home parents and Fortune 500 executives. Solopreneurs working from their kitchen tables and corporate professionals terrified their jobs were about to disappear. Twenty-two-year-olds and eighty- three-year-olds. People who’d been using AI daily and people who had never opened a single tool.

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION 7

You know what the overwhelming emotion was across all of them?

Relief. Not hype, but relief. Because for the first time, somebody was telling them: You’re not stupid. You’re not too old. You’re not too late. You just haven’t been given the right framework yet. That’s what this book is. Not another collection of prompt tricks you’ll forget by next week. Not a tech manual that makes you feel like you need an engineering degree. Not a breathless prediction about robots taking your job that leaves you more anxious than when you started. This is a system. A framework. A path from wherever you are right now to a version of your life where you have more time, more leverage, and more control than you’ve ever had, using a tool that’s available to anyone with an internet connection. And here’s the part that might surprise you: this book isn’t really about AI. It’s about time. It’s about what you do with your life when you finally get enough of it back. AI just happens to be the most powerful time-buying machine in human history.

Let me tell you who this book is for, and who it’s not for.

If you’re already deep in AI, you know every tool, follow every update, and have spent thousands of hours prompting and building and experimenting, that’s incredible. But this book probably wasn’t built for you. You’re in the fifteen percent who are already way out ahead. You don’t need anyone to convince you this matters.

This book was built for the other eighty five percent.

The ones who know this deeply matters but haven’t effectively implemented it into their lives and work yet, or started once and got lost in the noise. The ones who are already successful in many ways but know there’s a gear they haven’t found yet. The ones who don’t want to become so-called “AI experts.” They just want their time back, their edge sharpened, and a system they can trust.

If any of that sounds like you, welcome. You’re exactly who we wrote this for.

Before we go any further, let me take thirty seconds and demystify the thing most of the world is overcomplicating.

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION 8

Here’s the simplest way I can put it: AI is like the smartest, fastest intern you’ve ever met. One who’s read more books, articles, emails and documents than you could ever hope to read in 10 lifetimes. . It doesn’t think like you and I think, it recognizes patterns faster, deeper, and with more clarity than anything that’s ever existed. Ask it a clear question, and it gives you a useful draft, a relevant idea, or a powerful path to follow in seconds. Ask it a vague question, and you’ll get a vague answer, same as you would from any human. That’s it. That’s the big mystery everyone’s making so complicated. You don’t need to understand the engineering behind it any more than you need to understand the engine in your car to drive to work. You just need to know what works for you and follow a plan until it becomes your new reality. And once you see it, you’ll realize AI doesn’t replace your creativity. It doesn’t replace your strategy. It doesn’t replace your empathy or your judgment or the thing that makes you you. But it can amplify all of it. It expedites everything. It handles repetitive work – the stuff that drains your time and energy – so you can pour yourself into what actually matters. Because the interface is as simple as talking or texting, AI might just be the great equalizer of our generation. It doesn’t care about your degree, your zip code, your age, or your bank account. It levels access to intelligence and capability that used to be locked behind corporate budgets and engineering teams. And at the same time, it accelerates the edge you already have: your experience, your ideas, your unique way of seeing the world. That’s why this moment is so different from anything we’ve seen before. The playing field isn’t just shifting. It’s being rebuilt. And for the first time, the people willing to pick up this tool have the same firepower as companies with entire departments behind them. Nearly five decades of studying patterns in psychology, finance, business, and health all pointed to one principle that shaped everything in this book: compress decades into days. When a serious health crisis hit, the answer wasn’t waiting for one doctor to figure it out over years. It was assembling the best minds on the planet and compressing their combined centuries of experience into a solution. That’s not luck. That’s a system. A mentor once taught that principle early on, that the ability to absorb powerful lessons in hours instead of years changes everything. AI works on that same principle. It compresses learning, testing, and execution into minutes instead of months. What used to require a team of five and six weeks of work can now happen in an afternoon. What used to cost a small fortune in research can be done for the cost of a cup of coffee. Not because the quality is lower, but because the speed of intelligence has fundamentally changed.

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION 9

And this isn’t theoretical. We’ve watched it happen in real time, with real people from every background imaginable, getting their time back and using it for personal growth, business, and the parts of life that matter most. This isn’t a promise anymore. It’s a very real path forward. AI won’t hand you a vision, but it will magnify the one you choose. It won’t decide your future, but it will accelerate the future you commit to. You’ve already seen this pattern in your own life. When you’re clear about what you want, opportunities seem to appear without effort, your creativity is boundless, and progress feels natural, not forced. But when you’re unclear, everything feels scattered, uncertain, and frustrating, no matter how hard you work. That’s why we created this book to give you both the system to leverage AI effectively, and the foundation to make sure you’re leveraging it toward something that actually matters. Because the most dangerous thing you can do with a powerful tool is use it without direction.

But once you have both direction and power, you have all you need for true transformation.

We have more foundation to build and that foundation matters more than any single hack or trick. But right now, I want to interrupt everything for sixty seconds. Because the fastest way to understand what’s possible isn’t to keep reading about it, it’s to experience it. Especially if AI exploration is new to you. So before we go any deeper, let’s take one quick action moment. Open up ChatGPT on your phone or your computer. The free version works fine. If you don’t have it yet, download the app now. It takes thirty seconds. Here’s what I want you to do. Don’t type. Tap the little microphone icon and talk to it, just like you’re talking to a friend. Say something like this: “Hey, I need help. Here’s everything that’s on my plate this week...” Then unload. Every meeting. Every errand. Every project. Everything that’s been rattling around in your head keeping you up at night. Don’t organize it. Don’t filter it. Just dump it all out, two minutes, three minutes, however long you need.

When you’re done, add this: “Now organize it for me by priority based on what will move the needle most.” Hit send.

10

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION

What comes back is going to surprise you. Not because AI is magic. It isn’t. But because in about fifteen seconds, you just did something that would have taken you thirty minutes with a notebook and a cup of coffee. And the answer is probably better prioritized than what you would have come up with on your own, because AI doesn’t get overwhelmed. It doesn’t have a bad morning. It just processes what you give it and hands you back clarity. That little spark you’re feeling right now? That ‘oh... okay, this is actually useful’? Hold onto that. Because what you just experienced is the shallowest possible version of what AI can do for you. You barely scratched the surface and it was already useful. By the end of this book, you’ll have something that feels less like a tool and more like a partner who’s known you for twenty years. One who knows your goals, your voice, your strengths, your weaknesses, your business, and your dreams and works alongside you to help you get there faster. That’s what’s coming. But we wanted you to feel it first, even if just for sixty seconds because we don’t want you to take our word for it. We want you to experience it. Here’s what we’ve learned after decades of building businesses, studying success, and helping people reach their potential: the people who win are never the ones chasing every shiny new thing or tool. They’re the ones who master a simple system and go deep. They find the foundation, build on it, and let everyone else run in circles. That’s what this book gives you. A foundation. One that doesn’t expire when the next app comes out. One that gets more powerful the longer you use it. And one that’s built on something that will never go out of style: your time. Because that’s really what all of this comes down to. You don’t have a business problem. You don’t have a technology problem. You might think you do, but underneath it, if you’re honest with yourself, what you really have is a time problem and a leverage problem. There aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything you need to do, let alone everything you want to do. You’re buried in the day-to-day. The urgent keeps eating the important. And every year, you look up and wonder where the time went. We’ve lived that life. Built successful businesses and still felt like we were drowning, because more success just meant more demands on our time. More people need things from us. More decisions. More fires. Winning on paper and losing the things that mattered most, being present for our kids, protecting time with the people we love, the creative space where our best ideas used to live. That’s the real problem this book solves. Not just “how do I use AI?” but how do I buy back my time, leverage it to build the life and business I actually want, and stop feeling like

11

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION

I’m falling behind while the world speeds up?

I understood this before I had words for it. When I was around twenty years old, I paid someone twenty-five bucks to mow my lawn. My father was furious. “Why would you pay someone to do something you can do yourself?” he fumed. But by that point, something in me already knew I could be doing something else in that same hour that would give me significantly more impact and revenue than a freshly cut lawn. I didn’t have a framework for it. Nobody taught me the word ‘leverage.’ I just felt it: my time was worth more elsewhere. That instinct has driven every business I’ve ever built. And now, for the first time, there’s a tool that gives that same leverage to everyone, making the path to success faster than ever before.

Remember the equation from the introduction?

More Time + More Leverage = Accelerated Success.

Here’s what that looks like in real life. Not on a napkin. On a Tuesday.

We worked with an amazing woman named Ann Oickle, who coaches parents of neurodiverse students. Like many entrepreneurs, her days were spent on things that pushed her further away from the meaningful work that made her start her business in the first place. Instead of working with families or growing her business, she found herself writing newsletters, formatting emails, creating posts, and scheduling everything just to keep up. By the time she finished, the day was gone. Once she started using AI effectively, she saw the things that used to take hours dissolve into minutes. She estimates she’s gained back about fifteen hours a week within the first few weeks of implementing properly. Because of the time she bought back, she’s able to create and schedule two YouTube videos every Tuesday, expanding her reach and impact in a way she always wanted, but didn’t have the space to do before.

That’s what this equation looks like when it’s working.

Every chapter, every story, every framework in this book comes back to that equation: More Time + More Leverage = Accelerated Success. Not as a theory, but as a daily reality you can feel.

12

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION

And here’s where it gets really interesting. When we studied all those brilliant, successful people using AI in radically different ways, we discovered something we didn’t expect to find: A pattern. One so consistent, so unmistakable, that once we saw it, we couldn’t unsee it. Every single person, no matter how different their business, their background, or their goals, had built their own version of the same thing. A foundational piece that everything else sat on top of. It had nothing to do with being technical and everything to do with being intentional. But before we get there, there’s something you should hear first.

We are the only generation that will live both before and after AI. Think about that.

Our children and grandchildren won’t know a world without it, the same way most of us can’t imagine a world without smartphones. But we’re the ones who have to learn it. We’re the ones who have to adapt. And yes, that’s harder for us than it will be for them. So give yourself a little grace. You didn’t grow up with this. Some of us started with rotary phones and paper maps. Some of us remember when the internet was just a weird noise your computer made while you waited three minutes for a page to load. This is new territory and it’s okay to feel uncertain. But here’s what we also know: the people who jump in early rather than waiting until everything feels right to figure this out are going to pull ahead in ways that will be very difficult to catch up to. Not because they’re more talented than everyone else, but because they learned to buy back and leverage time while the rest of the world was still trying to figure out which app to download. So here’s our ask: Give us these eleven chapters. Stay with us. Trust the process. Because on the other side of this book, you will see your time, your business, and your life through a completely different lens.

You’re not behind. You’re right on time. And, most importantly, you’re not alone.

13

YOU’RE NOT BEHIND. YOU’RE RIGHT ON TIME | CHAPTER 1 THE FOUNDATION

The Tractor Moment CHAPTER 2

Let me take you back about two hundred years.

It’s the early 1800s. You’re a farmer. You wake up before sunrise, same as your father did and his father before him. You walk out into your field with a plow, a pair of hands, and maybe an ox if you’re lucky. And you begin the work. To plant a single acre of corn by hand –tilling the soil, dropping the seeds, covering them over – takes roughly forty hours. Forty hours of backbreaking, sun-scorched, body- wrecking labor. For one acre. That was reality for thousands of years. It was just the way things were. Nobody questioned it because there was no alternative. You worked the land with your hands, and the land gave back what it gave back. If you wanted more, you worked more hours. If you couldn’t work more hours, you were stuck.

Then the tractor showed up.

That same farmer. Same field. Same acre of corn. Thirty minutes. Not thirty hours. Thirty minutes. What used to take an entire work week could suddenly be done before lunch. Think about what that really means. The farmer didn’t get smarter overnight. He didn’t develop superhuman strength or hire a team of fifty workers. He got access to a tool, and that tool gave him something he could never create on his own: more time so he could leverage it to grow his business, expand his land or maybe even make it home for dinner during the harvest. Here’s the part of that story that matters most right now: once the tractor existed, could the farmer without one compete? No. Not a chance. It didn’t matter how hard he worked. It didn’t matter how early he woke up or how late he stayed in the field. The farmer with the tractor would outproduce him fifty to one, every single day, every single season, until there was no contest left.

14

THE TRACTOR MOMENT | CHAPTER 2 THE FOUNDATION

That’s where we are right now with AI. Not in some theoretical future. Right now. Today. The tractor has arrived. Some people have already climbed on. Many haven’t. And the window between “early advantage” and “too late to catch up” is closing faster than most people realize.

Now, I know that might sound dramatic. People have been crying wolf about technology for as long as technology has existed. Every few years, something comes along and everyone says this changes everything, and then life mostly goes back to normal. One of the experts we spoke with, who you’ll meet later in the book, explained that the real story isn’t just that technology gets better, it’s that it gets cheaper, faster, and more accessible. And when that happens, the results compound across society. Over the last century, human life has changed more than in the previous several thousand years combined. We’ve doubled the average lifespan. Global income has multiplied several times over. The cost of food, relative to income, has dropped dramatically. Global poverty has fallen from around 80 percent of the population to under 10 percent today. Staggering numbers. And almost every one of those gains was driven by the same thing: a new technology that gave ordinary people the ability to do more with less. Think about that. In just a few generations, the baseline for human life has been completely redefined. And almost every one of those gains came from the same source: new technologies that gave ordinary people the ability to do more with less. 1 The wheel. The printing press. The steam engine. Electricity. The telephone. The automobile. The internet. Think about just one of those for a second. The first working automobiles appeared in the 1880s, but they were expensive, unreliable, and most people thought they were a passing novelty. Horses had always worked just fine, so most people felt no need to change that. It took over twenty years before Henry Ford made cars affordable enough for ordinary families, and another decade or two before they truly replaced the horse and buggy as the standard way to get around. That meant it took roughly 40-50 years from invention to mass adoption. And in that window, the people who recognized what was coming – who built the roads, the gas stations, the dealerships, the supply chains – were the ones who created entire industries and generational wealth. The people who waited for it to feel safe missed the window entirely. Each breakthrough on that list followed the same pattern. First, a small group of people figured it out early and gained a massive advantage. Then the majority resisted, hesitated, or

1 Based on widely reported global data from sources such as the World Bank and Our World in Data.

15

THE TRACTOR MOMENT | CHAPTER 2 THE FOUNDATION

waited until it felt safe. And by the time the majority caught up, the early group had already built the future everyone else was now living in. Every single time. AI follows that exact same pattern, except for one critical difference: It’s moving faster than any of those previous shifts. Dramatically faster. The automobile took forty years to go mainstream. The internet took roughly fifteen. AI tools reached a hundred million users in two months. Two months. That compression of time means the window to be early is smaller than it’s ever been for any technology in human history. And here’s what makes this shift even more significant. One of the sharpest minds we spoke with during our research, someone who spent years studying AI from inside one of the biggest technology companies on earth, told us something that reframed everything. He said the most important trend in AI isn’t that the technology is getting better. It’s that the cost is collapsing. Think about what happens every time a critical resource becomes dramatically cheaper. When the cost of moving goods collapsed, railways connected the country and turned the United States into the world’s dominant industrial power. When the cost of information dropped, the internet rebuilt major industries. When the cost of computing dropped, smartphones put supercomputers in our pockets. One of the greatest economic shifts of our lifetime might be the fact that the cost of intelligence is collapsing. Not declining. Not slowly decreasing. Collapsing. The ability to research, analyze, strategize, write, plan, and problem-solve at a level that used to require teams of specialists and six-figure budgets is becoming available to anyone for a few dollars a month. In some cases, for free. Every time something that used to be expensive suddenly becomes cheap and accessible, an enormous economic shift follows. New industries are born. New fortunes are created. And the people who recognized the moment early, the ones who grabbed the tractor instead of watching it drive by, are the ones who built those industries and those fortunes.

Most people haven’t even noticed yet. But you have. That’s why you’re here.

Let me make this more concrete with something you can probably relate to.

Think about your typical workday. How much of it is spent doing things that are necessary but not the best use of your time? Answering emails. Formatting documents. Researching competitors. Writing first drafts of proposals. Scheduling. Summarizing meetings. Organizing information you’ve already reviewed once. Prepping for calls you’ve had a

16

THE TRACTOR MOMENT | CHAPTER 2 THE FOUNDATION

hundred times before.

How many hours a week do you spend on that kind of work? Be honest.

If you’re like most people we’ve talked to, it’s somewhere between fifteen and thirty hours. Out of a forty or fifty-hour work week, roughly half your time goes to tasks that need to get done but don’t actually need YOU to do them. Work that requires your attention but not your genius. Now imagine you had a tractor for that work. Not a person you have to hire, train, manage, and pay. Not an app that solves one narrow problem. An equal partner that could handle the research, the drafting, the organizing, the scheduling, the formatting, the summarizing, and do it in a fraction of the time it takes you, so that you could spend your hours on the work that actually moves the needle. Creative thinking. The relationship building. The strategic decisions. The stuff only you can do. That’s not a fantasy. That’s what thousands of people are already doing with the system you’re going to learn in this book. A real estate agent in Texas used to spend twelve hours a week writing listing descriptions and doing market analysis. With this system, she cut it to two hours. That equates to ten hours back, every single week. That’s 520 hours a year, or thirteen full work weeks, she now spends on client relationships, showings, and closing deals. Jared Sorenson is a third-generation rancher. Married nearly thirty years and raising nine kids, for most of his life, technology felt like something for younger, techie folks, not for a guy running cattle. He was juggling ranch operations, a growing coaching business, content, finances, and family, often on razor-thin margins, and the work just kept piling up. Then he learned to use AI differently. Not as a search engine, but as a partner that actually understood his operation. Tasks that used to take hours like building training frameworks, tracking inventory, and organizing profit-and-loss statements started getting done in minutes, with better quality than before. He even started using it to think through enterprise-level decisions on the ranch. The unexpected bonus, though, was less stress, better decisions and more presence at home with the people who matter most. If we haven’t said this loud enough yet, hear it now: this moment matters more than you may think. AI is moving faster than any technology shift in history, and right now it’s in that precious window where it’s no longer experimental but hasn’t yet become universal.

The people who learn to use it in the next six to twelve months will build an advantage

17

THE TRACTOR MOMENT | CHAPTER 2 THE FOUNDATION

that compounds every single week. You’re not too late, but that window won’t stay open forever. And the foundation we’re about to build together matters more than any single trick. Think about it this way: someone who builds their AI system this month and saves ten hours a week has already banked 520 hours by this time next year. Their system has learned their voice, their business, their patterns, and is getting smarter and more useful every single week. Now imagine someone starting twelve months from now. They’re not just twelve months behind on knowledge, they’re twelve months behind on compounding. That gap doesn’t close easily. The people who learned to use the internet early didn’t just survive the digital economy, they built it. The people who figured out social media early didn’t just participate, they dominated. And the people who figure out AI right now are going to be the ones leading their industries, their networks, and their families into what comes next. Not because they’re smarter. Because they started sooner. Here’s what we’ve learned about time: everybody wants more of it, but almost nobody thinks about it as something you can engineer. We treat time like weather, something that happens to us. We say, “I don’t have enough time,” the same way we say, “it’s raining,” like it’s a condition we can’t control. But it’s not. Time is to leverage what butter is to bread fresh from the toaster: it shifts into something completely different when offered the right conditions. It’s a phenomenon entrepreneur and friend Dan Martell has been studying for years. He believes the concept of buying back your time means recognizing that the fastest way to grow isn’t by doing everything yourself, but by removing what shouldn’t be on your plate in the first place. Give yourself the right system, the right tools, and the right framework, and you can manufacture hours in your day that didn’t exist before. This means that instead of working harder, sleeping less or meditating, you simply eliminate what can be offloaded, hand it to AI, and focus your energy on the things that truly matter. AI is your tractor. The question isn’t whether you need one. The question is how long you’re going to keep planting by hand. The tractor is here. You know what it can do. But before we show you how to build yours, there’s something you need to understand about yourself first, because the people who get the most out of this tool aren’t the ones with the best strategy. They’re the ones who know exactly why they’re building in the first place.

And that starts with a shift most people never make. That’s where we’re going next.

THE TRACTOR MOMENT | CHAPTER 2 THE FOUNDATION

3 By now you’ve seen what’s possible. But here’s what separates the people who use that tool to change their lives from the ones who use it for a few weeks and go back to the way things were: it comes down to how you see yourself. Not your skills. Not your tech savviness. Your identity. There are two types of people in the world, and the difference between them has nothing to do with talent, intelligence, or resources. It has everything to do with how they approach their days. This distinction, creator versus manager, is one of the most important concepts in this entire book. Because all the AI tools in the world won’t help you if you’re still trapped in management mode. You’ll just manage faster. You’ll react more efficiently. You’ll put out fires with a better hose. But you’ll never actually build the life you want. After almost fifty years of coaching people at every level, from presidents to people starting from nothing, I can tell you the difference always comes down to the same thing: the quality of your questions. Managers ask, “How do I get through today?” Creators ask, “What am I building this year?” Same person, same twenty-four hours. Completely different trajectory. AI is the most powerful creation tool ever invented. But it’s wasted if you only use it to manage. Let me show you what creation actually looks like, because this isn’t a theory. It’s a pattern we’ve seen repeated at every level. Back in the late 1970s, a man named Craig Robbins moved to South Beach, Miami. At the time, it was a retirement community with no hotels, no nightlife, no fashion industry. Most people looked at South Beach and saw what was there. Craig looked at it and saw what could be there. He brought fashion shoots. Then restaurants. Then hotels. Within a few years, South Beach was one of the most famous destinations in the world. The Creator’s Mindset CHAPTER 3

Then he did it again, in the Design District. Five dollars a square foot. Abandoned

THE CREATOR’S MINDSET | CHAPTER 3 THE FOUNDATION

warehouses. The ugliest area in Miami. Craig brought in furniture showrooms, Art Basel, Louis Vuitton, Dior. Today: five hundred to six hundred dollars a square foot. That’s creation, not management. He didn’t optimize what existed. He imagined what didn’t exist yet and built it. Now, you might think that kind of creation requires resources most people don’t have. And that used to be true. But in the chapters ahead, you’re going to meet real people, not billionaires, not celebrities, who are doing their version of exactly this with AI. A solopreneur who went from zero to 1.4 million followers and 500 million views with no team and no employees. Just one person and an AI system. A professional speaker who cut her keynote prep from fifteen hours to one and got better results, more clients, and more repeat bookings. A founder who built a company website in three days for $120 that would have cost $3.2 million and taken eighteen months the old way. A coach who went from twelve clients to thirty and tripled her revenue without hiring anyone. These aren’t hypothetical examples. These are real people you’ll meet in this book. They all used the same system you’re about to learn. But here’s what many of them told us: the system only worked because they approached it as creators, not managers. They didn’t just bolt AI onto their existing chaos. They stepped back, got clear on what mattered, and used AI to build something new. That’s the difference. And it’s available to you. But you have to make the shift first. I’ve been obsessed with one question my entire life, even before working with Jim Rohn: what makes some people break through while others break down? After studying the answer across every field imaginable – sports, business, politics, personal transformation – I’ve found five qualities that separate creators from everyone else. Not five hundred. Five. And none of them require unique talent, IQ, or luck. Energy. This is the number one determinant of everything. Since COVID, energy levels have dropped worldwide and most people don’t even notice it. We’re like fish in water. We can’t see what we’re swimming in. But here’s what’s true: without energy, nothing else on this list matters. You won’t take action. You won’t follow through. You won’t even start. Think of it like a rocket. It takes enormous, almost violent energy to escape Earth’s gravity. But once you break free, it takes almost nothing to cross the solar system. When it comes to learning AI, the hardest part isn’t the learning. It’s the launch. It’s the decision to start, the push to overcome the inertia of your old habits. Once you’re moving, momentum does the rest. But you need the energy to light the engine. Vision. Creators see what doesn’t exist yet, and they have the courage to chase it before

20

THE CREATOR’S MINDSET | CHAPTER 3 THE FOUNDATION

anyone else can see it. Craig Robbins looked at an abandoned industrial wasteland in Miami and saw the future home of Louis Vuitton, Dior, and the world’s most valuable art collection. Everyone else saw blight. He saw possibility. The solopreneur we just talked about looked at a phone and a free AI account and saw a media empire. Dreaming is passive, but vision is active. It’s being bold enough to declare what you want and then organize your life around making it real. Without vision, AI is just a faster way to do the same things you’ve always done. With vision, it becomes the engine that builds what you’ve always imagined. Decisiveness. The most successful people on earth make decisions quickly and change them slowly. Everyone else does the opposite:they deliberate for weeks, second-guess for months, and then abandon the decision at the first sign of resistance. Here’s what I’ve learned after coaching people at every level: the moment you make a real decision, something shifts inside you. Resources appear. Energy appears. The path reveals itself. But it only reveals itself AFTER the decision, never before. That’s why most people stay stuck. They’re waiting to see the path before they commit. It doesn’t work that way. You will never have all the information. You will never feel completely ready. Decisiveness is about making a move once you have enough information, then committing to figuring out the rest along the way. Indecision isn’t about being cautious. It’s making a decision to stay exactly where you are. Massive action. A decision without action is a wish. And a wish without a deadline is a fantasy. Here’s what separates the people who talk about changing their lives from the people who actually do it: the willingness to take massive, immediate, determined action before the feeling fades. Not perfect action. Not planned-out-to-the-last-detail action. Massive action. The kind that feels almost unreasonable. The universe rewards action, not intention. The first day will feel clunky. The first week will feel uncertain. Good. That means you’re in motion. By the third week, something shifts. By the second month, you can’t imagine going back. The people who transform their lives with AI aren’t the ones who had the best first session. They’re the ones who refused to stop moving, no matter how uncomfortable it felt. Relentlessness. Let me be real with you. The path is messy. It’s even brutal sometimes. There will be moments where the AI gives you something useless, where you feel like you’re not getting it, where every voice in your head is screaming that this isn’t for you. I’ve seen it happen to the most talented, capable people I’ve ever worked with. And here’s what I can tell you: the ones who broke through were not the ones who never fell. They were the ones who got hit, got knocked down, felt the full weight of the doubt and the frustration, and got back up anyway. Not because it was easy. Because they decided that what was on the other side of the discomfort mattered more than the comfort of quitting. That’s relentlessness. And it’s the one quality no technology will ever replace. AI amplifies every one of these qualities. It protects your energy by eliminating draining tasks. It sharpens your vision with better information. It accelerates decisions with

21

THE CREATOR’S MINDSET | CHAPTER 3 THE FOUNDATION

faster data. It multiplies your actions by turning one hour into ten. And it supports your relentlessness by never getting tired, never losing focus, and never having a bad day. But the qualities come from you first. AI amplifies what’s already there. It’s never about the resources. It’s about your resourcefulness. That principle has been true for as long as I’ve been teaching it, and AI doesn’t change it. AI proves it.

So what does this look like in practice?

One of the people we interviewed, an entrepreneur named Dallas, also known as The AI Surfer, had a moment a lot of you will relate to. When AI got really good, he had a meltdown. He’d built a following of over a million people through short-form videos, and suddenly AI could do most of what he did. Everything he’d attached his worth to was, in his words, “melting away.” So he stopped. He journaled. He asked himself: What makes me human? What do I actually want to spend my time on? His answer became a philosophy he calls the 90/10 rule: leverage AI to do 90 percent of the heavy lifting so you can focus on the 10 percent you actually love. The creative work. The human connection. The ideas that only you can have.

That’s the creator’s philosophy. And here’s the practical version you can use right now.

Take out a piece of paper and answer two questions.

What’s your 10 percent? The work that gives you energy, creates the most value, lights you up. The stuff you’d do for free. What’s your 90 percent? The tasks that drain you. Emails, scheduling, research, first drafts, formatting, data entry, customer service. Look at those two lists. If you’re like most people, your days are dominated by the wrong kind of work. That’s about to change. Doug Freeman is a solo sculptor who’s been doing it professionally for forty-eight years. He came into AI pretty green, not a tech guy, just someone who needed a real partner behind the scenes. What he realized fast was that his weeks had quietly flipped. The 10 percent he loved – sculpting, designing, shaping ideas into physical work – was getting squeezed by the 90 percent that comes with running a one-person creative business: planning, researching, outlining projects, mapping strategy, figuring out fundraising. The art was losing to the admin. So he taught his AI how he thinks about sculpture, and started handing it the heavy

22

THE CREATOR’S MINDSET | CHAPTER 3 THE FOUNDATION

lifting: step-by-step project checklists, fundraising strategy, research he used to spend entire days on. Now instead of letting that time get swallowed by more busywork, he reinvested it where it belongs, with more hours in the studio, more creative momentum, more finished work. The part of the job only he can do.

Now I need to take you somewhere deeper. Because having a philosophy isn’t enough.

Dallas didn’t just make a list. He had a meltdown first. Something cracked open inside him that forced the question. And the people who actually follow through with what this book teaches aren’t the ones with the best list. They’re the ones with the deepest why. I’m going to tell you a story I’ve shared with millions of people. And every time I tell it, the room changes. Years ago, I hired a consultant named Joe Stumph. His job was to help me get my students even more results, to make them more engaged, more resilient, more likely to do the work and actually win. He sat down across from me and said, “So you want to help them get more results. Have you ever done the Seven Levels Deep exercise with them to help them find their true why?”

I hadn’t. So he did it on me first. “Why did you hire me?” “Because I want my students to succeed.” “Why is that important?” “Because I want to raise the industry standards.” “Why?” “Because I want to leave a legacy.” “Why?” The answers got harder. “Because... I don’t want to go backwards.” “Why not?”

My voice changed. I told him about my mom. Three jobs. Going to school without lunch money. The car with the busted back window and a piece of plastic taped over it. The shame I carried from that.

23

THE CREATOR’S MINDSET | CHAPTER 3 THE FOUNDATION

“Why does that matter so much?”

“Because I want my kids to have choices.”

If you’re a parent, you know the weight those words carry. I don’t want to raise entitled kids, but I want them to have opportunities I didn’t have.

“Why?”

Tears were rolling down my face by now. And I said it out loud, the thing I didn’t even know was there until that moment. “Because I need to be in control. I need to be in control of my decisions. Of my calendar. Of my life.”

And it hit me all at once where that came from.

Growing up, I never had control of anything. My parents were married multiple times. We were always moving: new house, new school, new situation I didn’t ask for. Money was tight, and when money is tight, it doesn’t just limit what you can buy. It limits your choices. I watched my parents want things for themselves and for us that they couldn’t have, not because they didn’t care, but because they didn’t have the options. Their happiness was capped by circumstances they couldn’t control. I promised myself I would never live that way. And I promised myself my kids would never feel that way. That’s why I cook breakfast for my kids every single morning. That’s why I never miss dance recitals. That’s why I don’t miss date night with my wife. Those aren’t items on a schedule. Those are proof that I broke the cycle. That I have the one thing my parents never had: the freedom to choose. When I said I would rather die than miss my daughter’s recital, my team went completely silent. And in that moment, I knew, for the first time with total clarity, why I had worked so hard my entire life. Why I had never quit. It was never about money. It was never about fame. It was about being the dad and the husband I know my father wishes he could have been. It was about control, not over other people, but over my own life. The kind of control that only comes when you build something that gives you the freedom to be fully present for the people you love.
