Letter From The Owner

A couple years ago I read an interesting book entitled, “The One Thing” by Gary Keller. The main premise of the book was, if you desire to excel, the importance of finding “the one thing” you like/are good at/want to work at, and go for it. I found it a fairly powerful read.

I was recently catching up with friend and, as we talked about our respective work, he asked me what I thought “the one thing” was that accounted for all that we have going on at G3. As I thought about it, I realized we’re pretty unique in a few ways--our use of Applied Functional Science as our main clinical discipline, our focus on customer service, and the fairly casual way we do things. But I decided “the one thing” that ultimately represents G3’s unique identity is, we care. We care a lot about each other as teammates, co-workers, and colleagues. We certainly care deeply about our patients, not only about their physical well-being but their psychological or emotional well-being as well. And, as has been made so evident the past six weeks, our patients care just as deeply about us G3 workers. So to take things a step further, I think our real “one thing” is the genuine family atmosphere that is so prevalent at G3. We’re all family, and, a great majority of the time, we treat each other like family--caring and watching out for each other, truly wanting what is best for each other. For various reasons I’ve had to be away from G3 quite a bit lately. Because of that, I’ve had the blessing of getting a fresh perspective of “life at G3”, and I’m blown away by the vibe that is put out by our staff. While it’s certainly something we stress, they go above and beyond. As impressive as they are, though, what’s even more impressive is the vibe that is put out by our patients. By definition, patients are coming to G3 because they are in some sort of physical distress or dysfunction. Yet, in spite of that, our patients have the best, most inspiring attitudes that enables them to give off an incredibly positive vibe. It’s that vibe that, I believe, is our “one thing”. So, a huge thank you to our patients, for your attitudes, your determination, your vibes, and your hearts. You make G3 a truly special place.
