Fly Now, Stay Later! If you were wondering if October is a good time to fly to Institute, I have some great news for you. According to an article on Good Morning America, prices are set to drop almost 40% for travel in September and October. Book your flight at least three weeks in advance as prices rise quickly the closer to your travel date. If you are looking for the cheapest flights, come a little early and stay a little later. The best day to arrive is Tuesday or Wednesday and the best day to depart is Saturday according to Experian. It just so happens that the weekend of Institute is also Dia de los Muertos and San Antonio is going to be alive with activities. It is the largest Dia de los Muertos celebration in the U.S. After the Thursday night NADOA event, stroll over to the River Walk for the SpiritLandia River Parade. Culture overload. Is music your jam? Then there are two concerts that week that you do not want to miss. October 29 is the Tauren Wells “Joy in the Morning” concert at the Tech Port Center and the Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road Final tour is the same night at the Alamodome, minutes from the hotel. Yes, please.
If the culinary arts are more your cup of tea, you are in luck. The Tasting Texas Wine + Food Festival is October 27-30 at the historic Travis Park in downtown San Antonio.
