More is involved in being a witness than we sometimes think. This “W” has more in it than you imagine. First, let us notice that it has three “T’S.” [Unfold the side crossarms and cut the “T’s” apart. Attach with thumb tacks to the board.] The first “T” stands for the word ‘Told.” A witness must know something worthy of pass ing on to others. The s e c o n d “T” stands for “True.” A witness must be true. The third “T” stands for the word “Tell.” A witness must tell what he knows. This “W” has more in it than three “T’s.” Opening the middle “T” and turning it over, I find that it makes a red cross, reminding us of the blood of Christ which cleanses from sin. The outside “T’s” when open make black crosses, telling us of the two thieves who were crucified with. Christ. One thief repented, turned to Christ, and was saved. We will turn one cross over showing the white, to remind us of how this man looked in the sight of' God after being forgiven. When we think of Christ’s witnesses, let us remember that they must be told, they must be true, and they must tell the story of salvation.

capital “T” through all thicknesses of the paper. The crossbar should be % of an inch deep and the upright % of an inch wide. Open and cut off the back uprights of the “T’s” 3% Inches from the bottom. This will give the appearance of three connected crosses when opened during the lesson. Un fold and color the inside of the center cross red and the inside of the two outer ones black. Refold to the posi tion of three “T’s.” Fold the outside crossarms of the right and left “T’s” beneath the uprights they adjoin. Turn upside down to form a “W.” LESSON: This capital "W” reminds me of the word “Witness.” After the resurrection, Christ appeared to His disciples and said, “Ye are witnesses of these things” (Lk, 24:48).

hill called Calvary, the Lord Jesus was crucified. Those who loved Him were very sad. They took His body down from the cross; they laid it in a grave in a garden, and they went away sor rowing. But Jesus did not stay there. Death could not hold our wonderful Saviour! “Up from the grave He arose !’r And when two of Jesus' followers were feeling most heartsick and lone ly, because they missed Him so, He met them on the roadside and walked and talked with them about the Scrip tures. He even ate with them. And suddenly, as He blessed the bread and brake it, “ their eyes were opened, and they knew him” (Lk. 24:31). They saw that it was their own Jesus come back to them. How happy they were! He had said He would rise again, and here He was. Jesus remained on earth with His disciples for forty days, teaching them many things about Himself. When He was ready to go away, do you know what He told them? You will find it in our memory verse. Let us say it Jesus was dead, but now He is alive for evermore, and because He lives, we, too, shall live. When boys and girls belong to Jesus, the ending of the story will always be, “And they lived happily ever after.” Do you belong to Him?
