GM Truck Town at 56th Street Rod Nationals
A uto Metal Direct (AMD) in partnership with Harrison’s Rod & Custom present “GM Truck Town” at the 2025 56th NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky, July 31-August 3, 2025. A 60’x180’ display celebrating classic GM trucks and the enthusiasts who build, restore, and drive them will be taking over a prime footprint at the show. GM Truck Town will showcase 15 hand- picked, AMD-equipped GM trucks. The very best in classic GM truck craftsmanship will remain on display from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday at 1pm in booths 1055-1060 and 1157-1162 with the exception of award-winning trucks headed to the Circle of Winners on Sunday.
Be sure to visit the AMD booth (1255-1260) to explore the latest in GM truck restoration products, meet the team and check out even more AMD- equipped builds. Popular automotive personality, Lou Santiago has been appointed Mayor of Truck Town presented by Auto Metal Direct and Harrison’s Rod & Custom at the upcoming 56th Street Rod Nationals.
Adding to the excitement, renowned automotive personality, Lou Santiago has been appointed official Mayor of GM Truck Town, and as our special guest for the weekend, Lou will be onsite for autograph sessions, meet-and-greets, and to share his passion for classic trucks with attendees. A fun donation will be going on called “Stuff the Cab” benefitting the Eddy Bear Foundation and AMD is providing fan giveaways, raffles and limited-edition merchandise. Public voting to crown two standout trucks for AMD’s “People’s Choice Awards” will be displayed at the Circle of Winners, with presentations during Sunday’s official Awards Ceremony. O n behalf of the Evansville Iron Street Rods we sadly announce the passing of Richard (Rick) Bonenberger of Evansville, Indiana, on February 14, 2025. Rick was a lifetime member of NSRA and attended many of their national events over the years. His ‘30 Ford roadster pickup and ‘46 Ford Woodie were both award winners, but he’s best remembered for his ‘33 Ford sedan delivery. Along
