American Graffitti Car Collection T his year at the Rocky Mountain Nationals a tribute American Graffiti Car Collection will be on display in the Event Center with Candy Clark on hand to sign autographs and answer questions about the movie. Rich Puryear had a dream to collect all of the same year of vehicles that were in the movie and to make his dream come true it started back in 2024 when he purchased a ‘55 Chevy, next came the ‘58 Chevy, then the ‘32 Ford coupe and he didn’t quit until he had them all, including the Citroen 2CV Richard Dreyfuss had! Be sure and visit the Event Center this year! Ladies Tea The host for the Rocky Mountain Nationals Ladies Tea, Pat Collins wants all to know that the tradition lives on with a craft project again this year for everyone. Everyone attending will receive a small prize and the Tea will end with some larger door prizes being given away that will include gift baskets, cosmetic bags, and some handmade items. The hours on Friday are from 1pm to 3pm. The Ladies Tea is Sponsored by Sanderson Headers, Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Springs Rod & Custom Car Club. Pinstripers Charity Auction & Pin-Up Girls Again this year at the Rocky Mountain Nationals the Pinstripers and Pin-Up Girls will work all weekend to raise money for the kids. “Make A Wish” is the charity they use, and all the money stays local. Every year in the Hall of Agriculture the Pinstripers Auction takes place on Saturday with the Pin-Up Girls on hand to help, plus they go out and find contestants for the Best Beard Contest! If you would like to donate an item for the auction or want to participate as one of the Pin-Up Girls call Carrie Raynor at 719-426-7769.
