This year, we’re excited to mark a huge milestone—30 years of Outdoor Adventures! From our humble beginnings in 1995, we’ve grown to become a cherished destination for family getaways, offering countless memories, new friendships, and outdoor fun. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support of our amazing members and dedicated staff. We’d like to take a moment to spotlight some of our very first members who joined us back in 1995. These families were among the pioneers who helped shape the Outdoor Adventures experience, and we are incredibly grateful for their loyalty and support over the years. But we also want to recognize every single one of our members, no matter when you joined us. Without each of you, we wouldn’t be here today celebrating 30 incredible years, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with you!

Remembering Vern Williamson We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved team member, Vern Williamson, passed away in February, 2025. Vern was a part of our Security team, and someone members could always rely on. We are grateful for the years of dedication he gave to our Resort, and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.
LAKE SHORE RESORT Lake Shore Resort in Davison, MI, is the largest resort in the Outdoor Adventures portfolio, offering endless family fun. Surrounded by scenic nature trails and a spring-fed lake, the resort offers a variety of accommodations, including 600 campsites and close to 100 cabin rentals, as well as multiple pools and hot tubs. Guests can enjoy a water park with a lazy river and splash pad, a 9-hole putt-putt golf course, and much more. Whether seeking adventure or relaxation, Lake Shore Resort has something for everyone. Welcome Back Brett’s BBQ! We’re excited to welcome back a member favorite—Brett’s BBQ! After multiple successful seasons with us, the delicious food truck is rolling back into the resort for another round of mouthwatering BBQ. Known for their fantastic food and exceptional service, Brett’s BBQ has earned quite the following among our members. From delicious BBQ with all the fixings, to sweet desserts like elephant ears, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal after a day of outdoor adventures or just want to treat yourself to some sweet treats, Brett’s BBQ is the perfect choice. Be sure to stop by and savor their signature dishes—your taste buds will thank you! New North Shore Store Last season, we added the new North Shore Store, offering convenient check-ins and a variety of essentials like wood, ice, ice cream novelties, soft serve, and more. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, the North Shore Store is your one-stop shop for all your camping needs. We hope this new addition makes your
stay even more enjoyable! Putt-Putt Greens
Also, over the summer, we installed brand-new putt-putt greens, perfect for a fun, family-friendly activity. Whether you’re challenging your family to a friendly competition or simply enjoying a leisurely round, the new greens are a great way to spend some time outdoors and make lasting memories. Revamped Movie Theater & Arcade We also gave our movie theater and arcade a fresh update after a winter renovation. The movie theater now provides a cozy, comfortable space to enjoy the latest films, with FREE popcorn included! Our refreshed arcade offers a fun, relaxing space to unwind after a day of outdoor adventures.

MEET LUKE, OUTDOOR ADVENTURES’ DOG OF THE YEAR! We’re excited to introduce Luke, a 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog from Davison, Michigan, who has been voted our Outdoor Adventures’ 2024 Dog of the Year! This special honor is given in celebration of our member’s beloved furry camping partners. Let’s get to know Luke and his family a little better!
Luke’s Camping Adventures Camping is a huge part of Luke’s life. Tiffany shared that Outdoor Adventures was the first place they brought Luke after welcoming him into the family. He has loved it ever since, and it’s become his favorite place to visit. The Baxters camp for three weeks at a time, taking a week off before returning for more adventures, making Outdoor Adventures feel like a second home for Luke. When asked about their favorite camping memories, Tiffany mentioned how Luke loves everyone he meets, especially children. He’s also a big fan of golf cart rides, welcoming visitors, and relaxing outside. During the winter, Luke’s favorite activity is pulling his human sister on a sled, and nothing makes him happier than sitting by the fire after a long day. In the
summer, he can usually be found seeking out shade or the cool comfort of an air-conditioned RV. What the Baxter Family Loves About Outdoor Adventures
For Tiffany and her family, Outdoor Adventures is more than just a place to camp—it’s a community. “We’ve made so many friends that have turned into family,” Tiffany shared. She also praised the staff, saying many of them have watched Luke grow up over the years. Luke’s Favorite Ways to Unwind After a long day of camping fun, Luke’s favorite way to unwind is simple: he sleeps for hours! After all, a good nap is key to getting ready for the next day of camping adventures. We want to extend a huge congratulations to Luke and the entire Baxter family for this well-deserved recognition!

Luke’s Personality & Family Life Luke’s family describes him as “the best of both worlds”—he can be full of energy and excitement one moment, and then enjoy a day of napping and snuggling the next. His family, the Baxters, includes mom Tiffany, dad Scott, and human siblings Nick and Addison, along with his 10-year-old Chihuahua brother, Chuy. The Baxters have been part of the Outdoor Adventures community for five years and camp year-round, making Luke a regular visitor at our resorts since the day they brought him home! Tips for Camping with Dogs Tiffany also offered some helpful advice for other pet owners who want to bring their dogs camping: “A portable fence is a must!” It’s a great way to keep your furry friends safe while giving them space to enjoy the outdoors!

“NEW TIMERS” Rookie campers at 10PM...what could go wrong?
When Chuck & Nancy bought their lifetime membership in 2016, they were total newbies to the RV world. First stop? Lake Shore Resort. First night? A comedy of camping errors. They showed up at 10PM—no clue how to park, hook up power, or level the camper. After moving twice and accidentally lighting up a neighbor’s window with their headlights (and maybe a flashlight)… let’s just say it wasn’t the smoothest start. They expected angry neighbors the next morning, but instead they got Kevin and Janet: camping MVPs who laughed, lent a hand, taught them the ropes—and even gave them a golf cart tour. Fast forward to today: both couples are still camping, still laughing—and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversaries side by side. From rookie mistakes to lifelong friendships—this is one of the many reasons why we camp!
All Aboard! A true summer favorite at the resort, the OAI Express Train is a must-try experience! With its very own train depot, this fun attraction offers weekly rides that kids can’t get enough of. There’s something special about seeing their faces light up with excitement as they ride around the resort. It’s a fantastic way to make lasting memories together. This simple recipe brings all the classic s’mores flavors in a fun, easy-to-make dip. Perfect for a sweet treat around the campfire! S’MORES DIP RECIPE

Ingredients • 1 bag of mini marshmallows • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips • 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs • 1 tablespoon of butter • Graham crackers or fresh fruit (for dipping)
Instructions 1. Prep your campfire: Start a fire and let it burn down to a nice set of coals for cooking. 2. Prepare the dip: In a cast-iron skillet, melt the butter over the campfire. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth. 3. Top it off: Sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the melted chocolate, then cook it over the coals for 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and gooey. 4. Serve and enjoy: Remove the skillet from the fire and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the dip. Serve with graham crackers or fresh fruit to dip into the chocolate-marshmallow goodness!

ARROWHEAD LAKES RESORT in Wapakoneta, Ohio
Building Back Better This rebuild is all about “building back better.” The goal is to enhance accessibility and create a space that truly meets the needs of all our guests. The process of constructing the pool house from the ground up has allowed us to customize the design to our exact specifications. Here’s what you can expect:
Pool Rebuild The top question at Arrowhead Lakes Resort has been, “How is the pool rebuild coming along?” We’ve got some exciting updates to share—MAJOR progress has been made on this nearly $4 million project! Once funding approval was finalized in August, we moved quickly, and we’re thrilled to share the latest on the pool and pool house rebuild. You can even watch the transformation so far through a time-lapse below!
Accessibility By lowering the pool house by over two feet, we’ve eliminated the need for elevated entrances and decks, resolving accessibility and safety concerns. Bathrooms The new bathrooms are located on the far west side, opening up a large central area perfect for activities and games. Store Relocation The store has moved to the far east side of the pool house, offering more space for a wider variety of merchandise—and yes, we’ll have ice cream! ADA-Compliant Facilities We’re adding a 24/7 ADA-compliant bathroom and shower on the east side, giving guests full access even when the pool and clubhouse are closed.
Pool Space The new area will feature a dry sauna, hot tub, kiddie pool with a gradual slope (perfect for young children), and a main pool measuring 39’ x 50’ with a maximum depth of 5 feet. The pool shell is complete, the pool has been dug out, and internal work like HVAC has begun. Whether it’s your first camping trip gone sideways, a kid’s hilarious one-liner, or a tradition your family looks forward to every season, we want to hear the stories that make your time at our resorts unforgettable. Throughout the summer, we’ll be highlighting real stories from members across all our resorts — and we’d love to include yours! It’s a way to celebrate the generations of families who’ve grown with us over the years, and the memories made around the fire, under the stars, and in the great outdoors. When you’re ready to share, use the hashtag #campfireconfessions — we’ll be watching and might even feature your story. Because after this many years of camping together, the stories just keep getting better.

Around the property, upgrades include new privacy fencing at the East bath house, a new fence along the back of the park, and beautiful new retaining walls. The courtyard now features a cozy community fire pit, perfect for evening gatherings. We’ve also improved RV pads with fresh gravel, upgraded electric on all of D Row, and installed new floors in several cabins. Add to that some serious stump grinding and tree trimming, and Styx River is looking better than ever.
