O ur Youth Development Curriculum's roots trace back 37 years. It began as simple talking points for presentations, initially designed for male and female youth facing school suspensions and expulsions. These talking points soon expanded, becoming valuable tools for discussions and presentations with young people in court-ordered juvenile detention centers. Subsequently, they were integrated into our popular after-school and summer youth programs. What we then called "brief modules" served a crucial purpose: equipping youth facilitators to deliver fundamental training many young people weren't receiving from parents or other adult caregivers. Over time, we've continuously refined and utilized these modules, now known as "session guides." They effectively reinforce parental training and provide the essential skills young people need to cultivate meaningful and productive lives. The effectiveness of these session topics is evident in the vigorous discussions they consistently spark among our youth and young adult participants.
