BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN)

Course Load Students should refer to the University Catalog for information on course loads for the nursing program . Transfer Credit Students should refer to the University Catalog for information on transfer credits . Students should refer to the University Catalog for information on course progression for the BSN program . Grading Students should refer to the University Catalog for information on grading . Academic Support Course Progression for the BSN Program Students who are having academic diffic ulty should contact the faculty teaching the course early in the term . This allows the opportunity to plan for improvement and determine strategies

that may be helpful . Students should also contact their academic advisor for additional resources and assistance . A delay in contacting faculty or the advisor for assistance may make it diffic ult to be successful in a course . Theory The theory portion of the course indicates the extent to which the student has achieved the student learning outcomes (SLOs) of the course . Information regarding the components of the course grade are found in the syllabus . The total weight for all theory evaluation methods in each course equals 100% . All theory work is graded and recorded on a percentage basis and is not rounded . Each grade is multiplied by its percentage worth; e . g . an exam worth 25% of the theory grade would be calculated as follows: 84 . 43 X . 25 = 21 . 10 . The final theory grade consists of all the components added together and recorded as a whole number . Students will receive the grade that coincides
