former Seventh-day Adventists, whose unscriptural teaching is a hodge-podge of just about every thing. Names like Schiffner of Spokane, Gaa rd o f Tacoma , Greene and Krum of Portland and Swift, Goodyear, Orr, Clem Davies and W. B. Record of Cali fornia have been associated with Anglo-Israelism. Joe Jeffers held forth at Sarasota, Fla. with his notorious “kingdom of Yahweh” after leaving California; and there were and are Forsythe of Tenn., Royal of S. C., Reed of Baltimore, Lovell of Ft. Worth, Flenner of Ohio, Robert B. Rec ord of Chicago, and Gerald H. K. Smith, with other n am e s and groups too numerous to mention. One doctrine unites those who profess to be Anglo-Israelites: the promises in the Word of God relating to Israel do not belong to the Jews, but to the British peo ple; and that the Jews and Israel are not one and the same nation. One cannot number or keep track of the adherents, for a leader flourishes for a time and then the work folds up. A magazine is begun and it goes out of print. Wherever they have infiltrated or established a work, they have brought confusion to the ranks of believers. They appear to have no ministry to the unsaved. Rand wrote in his magazine: “Some times the objection is raised that, because we stress the Gospel of the Kingdom, we have failed to recognize the part personal salva tion plays in the redemption plan of God . . . this is by no means an indication that the Gospel of sal vation is relegated to a lesser position.” However, I cannot find in their literature or in their ra dio messages any clear Gospel message. When the Lord Jesus Christ told Nicodemus, “Except a man be bom again, he cannot see the kingdom of God,” he was not referring to membership in the kingdom of Israel of which Nicodemus already was a mem ber. Nor was He referring to a British kingdom, American citi zenship, or any other earthly realm. John wrote: “But as many
