Tenet Adviser Forum Brochure

Welcome to our 2017 Adviser Forum. As always, we have put together an event which you should find both educational and enjoyable.

At this year’s Adviser Forum we will take a closer look at what’s on the horizon and, with support from our provider, fund manager and lender partners, we’ll provide invaluable insight, sales tips and that all- important CPD. To kick off the event we have our ‘breakout sessions’, so if you have booked on to particular sessions you will find a personalised agenda included in your pack. We also have our business trade fair running throughout the morning, so you can chat with the providers in attendance and collect some goodies. During the core Adviser Forum in the afternoon we will have a business update from Tenet’s Chief Executive, Martin Greenwood, followed by our first keynote speaker Robert Peston. You’ll then hear from Royal London, M&G, Vitality, Aegon, Just, Shawbrook Bank and Bank of Ireland, who will be sharing their current thoughts on the future landscape in their chosen markets. The forum will close with our final keynote speaker, Bonita Norris, concluding the business element of the event at 5.30pm. If you are attending our Gala Dinner which starts at 7.30pm, we have planned an evening to remember and we will be taking a step back in time where you can enjoy food, drink and Gatsby themed entertainment. So, please relax and enjoy the day we have organised for you as a benefit of being a member or client of Tenet. Within this brochure and your pack you will find full details of the event and also everything you need to complete your reflective statement and claim CPD. There is also a list of Tenet staff and their pictures, so if you need any help throughout the day, you only have to ask. We invite you to download / upgrade the Tenet Events 2017 App and use it for the duration of your time at the event. You can: n View all the details of the event n Rate all the sessions throughout the day n Find out who else is attending – including Team Tenet and our Event sponsors n Navigate your way round the venue using the floor plans

Robert Peston is the Political Editor of ITV News and host of the weekly political

discussion show, ‘Peston on Sunday’. Formerly the Business Editor for BBC News, he became known to a wider public with his reporting of the late-2000s financial crisis, especially with his award-winning scoop on the Northern Rock crisis. Other roles included City and Assistant Editor of The Sunday Telegraph, in charge of the business and money sections, and the FT’s Financial Editor. He is also the founder of ‘Speakers for Schools’, a pro-bono education venture which organises speakers from the worlds of business, politics, media, the arts, science, engineering and sports to give talks for free in state schools. Bonita Norris Entrepreneur and athlete, Bonita Norris is the youngest British woman to conquer Everest. A feat in itself, but all the more impressive when you discover that at the point of making the decision to try and secure an expedition place, she had never climbed before - as well as the small matter of needing to raise £50,000! Incredibly, she found a sponsor and completed her training, and on the 17th of May 2010, at the age of 22, Bonita took a record-breaking step onto the top of Everest. Since then, she has skied to the North Pole, led charity teams, and climbed a total of five Himalayan peaks, as well as being a youth ambassador for numerous education institutions.
