facilities. Both Park Place of Elmhurst and Victorian Village have been awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Assisted Living and Mem- ory Care. This achievement reflects our dedication to providing safe, high-quality care and creating an environment where residents thrive.

At Park Place of Elmhurst, we recognized the chang- ing expectations of financial options for individuals who were seeking a place to move to for retirement living. Given that, in 2024, we introduced a Fee-for- Service contract, providing residents with flexibility in the type of financial agreements they can choose for entrance into the Life Plan Community. With this agreement, prospective residents can pay for care services when and if needed, rather than paying in advance in a traditional Life Care agreement. This has been a popular option, particularly for individuals who have long-term care insurance plans in place. Additionally, the retirement building’s main- level common areas, including the living room, lob- by, bistro, and dining spaces, have been beautifully remodeled to enhance the resident experience.

Victorian Village celebrated 25 years of service to seniors in 2024. Over the 25 years, the care expecta- tions and care delivery model for Memory Care have changed significantly. In recognition of these chang- es, we remodeled our Memory Care unit, creating a homelike, calming environment with soft colors and LED lighting. These updates allow families to remain together, even when living in different areas of the same community.
