The stem cells used at Advanced Wellness are procured through an FDA regulated company that collects cells from cord blood donated by consenting pregnant mothers which are harvested at birth. (They are NOT taken from aborted fetuses.) Every donor is subjected to comprehensive infectious disease panel screenings which surpass federal and industry standards; thereby ensuring a safe end product. In order to ensure a high quality product, the company goes above and beyond industry standards to test each lot in production for cell viability and the presence of growth factors. They will not release any lot for use that does not meet these rigid standards. HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED? The procedure is very safe. We utilize either x-ray or ultrasound guidance to locate the exact placement of the needle to ensure that the cells are injected into the proper location. HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE AND HOW LONG IS RECOVERY? The procedure itself takes less than 30 minutes to perform. There is little or no downtime following your procedure. On the day of the procedure you may not drive. You will also be advised not to lift heavy objects or engage in strenuous activity for eight weeks post procedure as the injected stem cells are working hard to regenerate your damaged tissue. In addition, you will undergo physical therapy following the procedure to assist in your rehabilitation and strengthen the treated area. WHAT IS THE SUCCESS RATE? Like any other medical procedure, there is no 100% guarantee. Our comprehensive approach and careful choice selection of candidates makes our success rates extremely high.
