Manifold & Conversion Kit FOR IDC SERIES 500 — 2000 UNITS
Retrofit Kit Contents: Manifold, Gasket, Drum Cap, Manifold Strap
1. Remove the Demister Cap from the IDC drum and replace it with the solid plastic Drum Cap. Make sure the cap is firmly hand-tightened. 2. Remove the IDC Inlet Hub from the drum. Insert the rubber gasket with the thinner shoulder into the opening with the thicker shoulder on top until it is firmly in place and seated flush. The gasket should be tight, and it may take a little effort to seat it properly. DO NOT cut off the bottom shoulder to make insertion easier. Doing so will destroy the seal and void the unit’s warranty. 3. Attach the manifold to the top of the unit by inserting the tapered descending port into the newly installed gasket 2b . Align the manifold with the timer drain facing the drum’s outlet port, as shown in the photo. 4. Secure the manifold firmly to the IDC drum with the Manifold Strap. To do this, feed the loose end of the strap (the end without the buckle) below the manifold and under the drum handle. Slide the buckle-end of the strap between the manifold’s support leg and the jug. Wrap the buckle end of the strap over the manifold, feeding it between the exhaust ports. Secure the strap by feeding the loose end through the buckle and pulling until the strap is tight. 5. Attach the 1/4-inch poly tube from the Outlet Hub to the push-to-connect fitting on the right side of the timer drain labeled OUT . (New outlet tubes from the factory may come sealed with a cap. If your poly tube has a cap, remove the cap before attaching the line to the timer drain.)

This side contains additional instructions for the installation of a new drum. See the other side for retrofit kit installation steps.
6. Run the outlet hose to a drain. Do not allow air locks, kinks, or excess coil in the outlet hose. The hose MUST lay flat, or the unit will not drain. 7. Prime the unit by removing one of the Exhaust Filters and pouring water into the opening until water drains through the outlet. Not priming the unit will cause premature failure. 8. Connect a 1/4-inch poly tube from any clean shop air source to the push-to-connect fitting on the left side of the timer drain, labeled IN . Plug the timer drain into a 110-volt outlet. 9. Press the TEST button on the timer drain. You should hear a low gurgling sound as the timer drain sends a burst of air into the drum. If you don’t hear the bubbles, check that your power source and air source are turned on and that your poly tubes are connected to the correct IN and OUT fittings on the timer drain.
