The United Arab Emirates attaches great importance to heritage as a fundamental pillar in the shaping of the cultural identity and a common language that unites and brings peoples together. The UAE recognizes that envisioning the future is intrinsically linked to heritage, emphasizing the need to adhere to and preserve customs and traditions. These elements are vital for anticipating and building the future. The UAE’s intangible heritage includes unique and shared elements with its Gulf and Arab surroundings, such as: Falconry: A living human heritage and a multinational file shared by the United Arab Emirates and 24 other countries. It was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010, 2012, 2016, and 2021.
